Territory Sales Manager Jobs in Pennsylvania: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a territory sales manager in Pennsylvania?
Most territory sales manager roles in Pennsylvania require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, along with prior outside sales experience. Pennsylvania does not issue a state-specific license for general territory sales managers, so hiring is credential-agnostic beyond education and experience. Candidates who add a Certified Professional Sales Person credential or industry-specific knowledge in life sciences, manufacturing, or distribution are consistently more competitive with Pennsylvania employers.
How much do territory sales managers make in Pennsylvania?
Territory sales managers in Pennsylvania earn a median of about $130,610 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $71,500 for the lowest 10% to over $239,470 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire territory sales managers in Pennsylvania?
Employers hiring territory sales managers in Pennsylvania right now include Leaf Home, Cox Automotive, and Progressive, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Pennsylvania's concentration of life sciences, industrial manufacturing, and food distribution companies makes it one of the more active states for territory sales hiring year-round.
Which Pennsylvania cities have the most territory sales manager jobs?
Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Allentown account for the largest share of territory sales manager openings in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia drives volume through its dense concentration of pharmaceutical, healthcare, and professional services employers, Pittsburgh contributes through manufacturing and industrial distribution, and Allentown's logistics and regional distribution corridor supports steady demand from mid-market and national sales organizations operating in the Lehigh Valley.
Are there remote territory sales manager jobs in Pennsylvania?
Yes, but they're rare. Territory sales management is fundamentally field-based, so fully remote roles are the exception rather than the norm. About 84% of territory sales manager openings tied to Pennsylvania are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those tend to concentrate in inside-sales or account management hybrid structures rather than traditional field territory roles.
How can I get hired as a territory sales manager in Pennsylvania with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a business development representative or sales development representative role at a Pennsylvania-based employer, which provides structured pipeline and prospecting training before moving into territory ownership. Large Pennsylvania employers in pharmaceutical distribution, industrial supply, and food service regularly hire candidates into associate territory representative programs. A Certified Professional Sales Person credential or demonstrated success in retail, inside sales, or account coordination strengthens applications significantly at this stage.
Where can I find and apply to territory sales manager jobs in Pennsylvania?
