Territory Sales Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a territory sales manager in Georgia?
Most territory sales managers in Georgia start by earning a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a field aligned with their target industry, then build experience in an inside sales or account executive role before moving into territory management. Georgia does not require a state-issued license for general sales management, but roles in specific sectors such as medical devices, insurance, or real estate may require industry-specific credentials or Georgia licensing board registration before you can legally sell in those areas.
How much do territory sales managers make in Georgia?
Territory sales managers in Georgia earn a median of about $159,890 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $79,560 for the lowest 10% to over $292,490 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire territory sales managers in Georgia?
Employers hiring territory sales managers in Georgia right now include Mölnlycke, Atlas Roofing Corporation, and Leaf Home, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters in Atlanta, major logistics operations along the Savannah port corridor, and a growing life sciences sector means territory roles appear across a wide range of industries statewide.
Which Georgia cities have the most territory sales manager jobs?
Atlanta, Norcross, and Alpharetta have the most territory sales manager openings in Georgia right now. Atlanta leads because it is home to major corporate headquarters and a dense concentration of regional distribution and technology operations, while Savannah's port-driven industrial growth and Augusta's expanding healthcare and manufacturing base generate consistent field sales demand outside the metro.
Are there remote territory sales manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, but they're uncommon, because territory sales management is inherently field-based and requires in-person client visits within a defined geographic area. About 72% of territory sales manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those postings tend to be for roles where prospecting and account management happen primarily over video or phone rather than on-site.
How can I get hired as a territory sales manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a sales development representative or inside sales role at a Georgia-based company and building a record of meeting quota before transitioning into a field position. Large Atlanta employers in technology, consumer goods, and medical distribution regularly hire associate territory representatives or sales coordinators as stepping stones. Completing a manufacturer's or distributor's formal sales training program, or earning an industry credential in your target sector, gives candidates without field experience a concrete edge when applying.
Where can I find and apply to territory sales manager jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to territory sales manager jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings across industries and metro areas. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the employers posting them.
