Sales Advisor Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales advisor in Georgia?
Most sales advisor roles in Georgia require a high school diploma or GED at minimum, with employers in financial services often preferring a bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Advisors selling securities or insurance products must hold relevant state-issued licenses through the Georgia Department of Insurance or pass FINRA-administered exams. For retail and technology sales roles, employers typically hire based on customer service experience and provide on-the-job product training.
Which companies hire sales advisors in Georgia?
Georgia sales advisor roles are posted by Sally Beauty, Asbury Automotive, and DriveTime Automotive and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, regional banks, and large retail operations creates consistent demand across multiple industry verticals.
Which Georgia cities have the most sales advisor jobs?
Atlanta, Marietta, and Buford account for the greatest concentration of sales advisor openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates due to its dense retail corridors, financial services sector, and corporate headquarters, while Savannah's port economy and Augusta's healthcare and defense industries sustain steady demand for B2B and specialty sales roles in those markets.
Are there remote sales advisor jobs in Georgia?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely digital roles. About 50% of sales advisor openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the in-person nature of much retail and relationship-based sales work. The remote opportunities that do exist tend to cluster in inside sales, financial advisory, and technology solutions roles where client meetings happen by phone or video.
How can I get hired as a sales advisor in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying directly to retail or telecommunications employers that run structured onboarding programs, such as Home Depot store associate roles or Cox Communications' entry-level sales representative positions. Georgia's large call centers and regional bank branches regularly hire candidates from customer service, hospitality, or food service backgrounds. Earning a Google Career Certificate in sales or completing the Georgia Quick Start workforce training program strengthens an application considerably before your first interview.
