Sales Advisor Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales advisor in Florida?
Most sales advisor roles in Florida require only a high school diploma and on-the-job training, but specializations matter. Insurance sales advisors must pass a state licensing exam and apply through the Florida Department of Financial Services for a 2-20 or 2-15 license. Real estate sales advisors need a Florida sales associate license from the Florida Real Estate Commission. For general retail or B2B roles, no state license applies, and employers typically train candidates directly after hiring.
Which companies hire sales advisors in Florida?
Florida sales advisor roles are posted by Sally Beauty, Morgan Auto, and Aire Serv and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's mix of large retail chains, insurance carriers, auto dealerships, and financial services firms means consistent demand for sales advisors across most major metro areas.
Which Florida cities have the most sales advisor jobs?
Miami, Jacksonville, and Orlando have the most sales advisor openings in Florida right now. Miami drives volume through its dense retail corridors and financial services sector, Tampa draws demand from insurance and healthcare sales, and Orlando's tourism and hospitality economy supports a large retail and leisure sales market, while suburban markets like Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale add steady volume from regional employers.
Are there remote sales advisor jobs in Florida?
Yes, though they represent a smaller share of the market than fully desk-based roles. About 40% of sales advisor openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the reality that much of the role involves in-person client interaction. Inside sales and insurance sales roles are the most likely to offer fully remote or hybrid arrangements.
How can I get hired as a sales advisor in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is retail sales, where Florida employers like Publix, AutoNation, and major telecom carriers regularly hire candidates with no prior experience and train them in-house. Applying for associate or sales support roles at insurance agencies gives a foothold before pursuing a 2-20 license. Completing a Florida Department of Financial Services pre-licensing course signals commitment to insurance employers. Customer service and cashier roles at large Florida retailers are also common stepping stones into advisor positions.
Where can I find and apply to sales advisor jobs in Florida?
