Regional Account Manager Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a regional account manager in Florida?
Most regional account manager roles in Florida require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, combined with prior sales or account management experience. There is no state-issued license required for the role itself, though positions in specific sectors such as insurance sales require candidates to hold an active Florida Department of Financial Services license before managing accounts. Building experience in inside sales or as an account executive at a Florida-based company is the most common path into a regional role.
How much do regional account managers make in Florida?
Regional account managers in Florida earn a median of about $131,900 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $71,650 for the lowest 10% to over $263,160 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire regional account managers in Florida?
Employers hiring regional account managers in Florida right now include Amazon, Cogent Communications, and GeneDx, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's concentration of healthcare systems, technology firms, and large distribution networks means regional account manager demand stays relatively stable across the state throughout the year.
Which Florida cities have the most regional account manager jobs?
Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville have the most regional account manager openings in Florida right now. Miami leads due to its density of healthcare, financial services, and Latin American trade clients, while Tampa and Orlando generate strong demand from technology services firms and large distribution operations headquartered in the I-4 corridor.
Are there remote regional account manager jobs in Florida?
Yes, and they're more common than in many field-dependent roles, though most positions still require regular in-territory travel. About 60% of regional account manager openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting employers who prioritize client-facing availability. The portions most likely to be fully remote are internal account management, renewals, and reporting work for software or SaaS-focused companies.
How can I get hired as a regional account manager in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as an inside sales representative or account coordinator at a Florida-based company and requesting territory responsibility after demonstrating consistent quota attainment. Large Florida employers in distribution and technology services, including healthcare supply companies and SaaS firms headquartered in Tampa and Miami, regularly promote from within. Completing a Florida-relevant certification such as a Certified Sales Professional designation strengthens an application, and lateral moves from customer success or business development roles are a common bridge into regional account management.
Where can I find and apply to regional account manager jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to regional account manager jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings across industries and metro areas. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the employers posting them.
