Healthcare Sales Representative Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a healthcare sales representative in Florida?
Most Florida employers require a bachelor's degree in a life science or business discipline as the baseline entry point. Florida does not require a state-issued sales license for most medical device or pharmaceutical roles, but manufacturers selling certain regulated products may require manufacturer-specific credentialing or hospital vendor clearance through compliance programs like Reptrax or Vendormate. Building familiarity with Florida's large integrated delivery networks and completing a manufacturer's structured onboarding program are the practical steps that move candidates from hired to productive.
How much do healthcare sales representatives make in Florida?
Healthcare sales representatives in Florida earn a median of about $60,660 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $35,550 for the lowest 10% to over $129,730 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire healthcare sales representatives in Florida?
Employers hiring healthcare sales representatives in Florida right now include Kg call center, ChenMed, and ResultsCX, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's density of large hospital systems, ambulatory surgery centers, and independent physician groups means demand is distributed across both global manufacturers and regional specialty distributors with dedicated Florida sales forces.
Which Florida cities have the most healthcare sales representative jobs?
Tampa, Fort Myers, and Coral Gables account for the largest share of healthcare sales representative openings in Florida. Miami's concentration of international pharmaceutical companies and large health systems drives volume in South Florida, while Tampa's growing medical technology corridor and Orlando's expanding hospital networks anchor Central Florida hiring, with smaller market hubs like Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale supporting additional regional territory roles.
Are there remote healthcare sales representative jobs in Florida?
Yes, but they're limited. About 17% of healthcare sales representative openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the fact that most roles require in-person calls on clinics, hospitals, and surgery centers. The portions of the role most likely to be performed remotely are administrative tasks, CRM updates, and virtual product training sessions rather than the core customer-facing work.
How can I get hired as a healthcare sales representative in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a medical device or pharmaceutical company's associate representative or sales development program, several of which recruit directly from Florida universities and local career fairs. Large Florida-based employers in the device and home health space regularly hire candidates from clinical backgrounds such as medical assistant, pharmacy technician, or physical therapy aide roles, treating hands-on patient exposure as a substitute for quota-carrying experience. Completing a manufacturer-approved product certification or obtaining hospital vendor credentialing before applying gives candidates a concrete edge in competitive Florida markets.
Where can I find and apply to healthcare sales representative jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to healthcare sales representative jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings across medical devices, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and specialty distribution. Find roles that fit your territory preference and experience level and apply directly to the employers posting them.
