Event Marketing Manager Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a event marketing manager in Florida?
Event marketing manager is not a state-licensed profession in Florida, so the path runs through education and experience rather than a board exam. Most Florida employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, followed by progressively responsible event or marketing roles. Earning a Certified Meeting Professional credential through the Events Industry Council strengthens a candidacy significantly, and experience with Florida's hospitality or tourism sectors is a consistent advantage in the market.
How much do event marketing managers make in Florida?
Event marketing managers in Florida earn a median of about $142,620 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $78,250 for the lowest 10% to over $261,310 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire event marketing managers in Florida?
Employers hiring event marketing managers in Florida right now include Vacatia, SPF Screens & Awnings, and Lotus House, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's concentration of hospitality brands, entertainment companies, and corporate headquarters means the market refreshes frequently with roles tied to live events, trade shows, and destination marketing campaigns.
Which Florida cities have the most event marketing manager jobs?
Miami, Weston, and Orlando account for the most event marketing manager openings in Florida. Miami's international business community and convention activity anchor demand there, Orlando's theme park and convention center ecosystem drives consistent volume, and Tampa's growing corporate base and major venues like Amalie Arena support steady hiring across experiential and sponsorship marketing roles.
Are there remote event marketing manager jobs in Florida?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely digital marketing roles because event marketing involves hands-on logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site presence. About 38% of event marketing manager openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with remote work most feasible for pre-event strategy, content development, and campaign planning rather than production and execution phases.
How can I get hired as a event marketing manager in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is an event coordinator or marketing coordinator role at a Florida hotel group, convention center, or entertainment company, then building toward manager-level responsibility. Large Florida employers in hospitality and tourism regularly hire entry-level coordinators who grow into management. A portfolio of events you have organized, even volunteer or campus work, combined with a Certified Meeting Professional designation or coursework through a Florida university's hospitality program, gives a strong foundation when applying.
Where can I find and apply to event marketing manager jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to event marketing manager jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, find ones that match your experience and target market, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
