INTRODUCTION
The world is moving towards instant digital payments and TabaPay is leading the way. We help thousands of Fintechs in the US and Canada instantly move money in and out of accounts and we are actively expanding into other countries. Our customers represent the hottest verticals in the financial service industry such as neobanks, challenger brokers, gaming and wallets. TabaPay is a highly profitable rocketship that processes billions of dollars each year.
We believe everyone deserves access to their money when they need it. We serve some of the most innovative companies in financial services — from fintechs and lenders to gaming platforms and digital banks — often in underserved or rapidly evolving markets where payments are mission-critical. Customers expect instant access to their money. Whether it’s a worker whose car breaks down on the way to work or a parent buying groceries before payday, timing is critical. But delivering that experience is hard, and demands a balance of speed, reliability, cost, and fraud. Built by pioneers of real-time payments, TabaPay solves the hardest money movement challenges for companies operating in complex, regulated environments. By combining direct network connections, 19+ sponsor banks, and integrated risk and compliance tools into a single API, our customers see higher success rates, lower fraud, and more control over how money moves. We’re on pace to process over $100 billion in payments annually and power some of the fastest-growing companies in financial services, including Dave, Klarna, SoFi, and ADP. If you’ve used a leading fintech app, there’s a good chance you’ve already used TabaPay without realizing it.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We’re looking for a Partnerships & Events Marketing Manager to own and scale one of our most important growth channels — partnerships. Think of yourself as the GM of the partnership channel, responsible for driving pipeline, expanding reach, and deepening engagement across our partner ecosystem. We already have a formula for success, since partnerships drive ~90% of our lead volume! This role is about unlocking the next phase of growth.
What you’ll do:
-
Drive partnership growth: Own and expand marketing activations with key partners including Visa, Mastercard, sponsor banks, ISOs, and referral partners. Identify new opportunities to generate pipeline and reinforce partnerships as a scalable, repeatable growth channel.
-
Lead events & experiences: Plan and execute high-impact co-marketing experiences such as executive dinners, conference activations, and partner events. Use events strategically to generate pipeline, deepen relationships, and support expansion into new verticals.
-
Enable partners: Create and deliver training and enablement programs to ensure partner teams can effectively position and sell TabaPay. That means creating the right mix of messaging, use cases, and materials.
-
Build co-marketing programs: Develop and execute joint campaigns with partners, including paid marketing, industry reports, webinars, social content, and more. Leverage partner distribution channels to expand reach and drive demand.
-
Own strategy & execution: Manage campaigns end-to-end, including planning, execution, performance tracking, and budget management. Partner cross-functionally with sales, product, and legal to ensure alignment and drive results.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Who you are:
-
Growth-minded operator: You proactively identify opportunities to drive pipeline and expand partnerships, and you’re motivated by measurable impact. You think like an owner and are focused on outcomes, not just activity.
-
Strong relationship builder: You’re comfortable working with external partners and know how to build trust, influence, and drive joint execution across multiple stakeholders.
-
Strategic + hands-on: You can connect high-level strategy to execution —whether you’re shaping a co-marketing plan, launching a campaign, or running an event end-to-end.
-
Excellent communicator: You’re a clear and compelling communicator when writing and speaking and can create messaging, content, and presentations that resonate with partners and internal teams.
-
Highly organized and detail-oriented: You can manage multiple campaigns, partners, and timelines simultaneously without losing attention to detail, and you know how to prioritize what matters most.
-
Flexible, creative mindset: You thrive in fast-paced environments, take ownership, and are comfortable navigating ambiguity while moving work forward.
-
Relevant experience: You have 3–5+ years of experience in marketing, partnerships, or business development, ideally in fintech, payments, or B2B environments.

The annual base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role may be eligible for a performance-based bonus in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.

Event Marketing Manager Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a event marketing manager in California?
Event marketing manager roles in California do not require a state-issued license or registration. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, combined with hands-on experience coordinating or producing events. Building a portfolio of produced events, earning certifications like the Certified Meeting Professional credential, and gaining experience at a California agency or brand marketing team are the most concrete steps toward a full manager title.
How much do event marketing managers make in California?
Event marketing managers in California earn a median of about $193,620 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $104,370 for the lowest 10% to over $326,400 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire event marketing managers in California?
Employers hiring event marketing managers in California right now include SentiLink, Anthropic, and Intercom, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. California's density of technology headquarters, entertainment studios, and consumer brand headquarters means demand stays consistent throughout the year across both in-house and agency roles.
Which California cities have the most event marketing manager jobs?
San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Irvine have the most event marketing manager openings in California. Los Angeles drives volume through its entertainment, media, and consumer brand industries, while San Francisco and San Jose reflect the Bay Area's deep concentration of technology companies that invest heavily in conferences, trade shows, and demand-generation events.
Are there remote event marketing manager jobs in California?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely digital marketing roles because event marketing requires on-site coordination and vendor management. About 36% of event marketing manager openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with fully remote positions more likely for roles focused on digital events, webinar programs, or campaign strategy rather than physical event execution.
How can I get hired as a event marketing manager in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a coordinator or event specialist role at a California technology company, consumer brand, or experiential agency, then moving up after owning one or two full program cycles. Large California employers like Salesforce and major Los Angeles entertainment companies regularly post event coordinator openings that serve as the practical on-ramp. Earning a Certified Meeting Professional credential and building a portfolio of produced events, even from internships or nonprofit work, gives candidates a clear advantage when applying for manager-level positions.
Where can I find and apply to event marketing manager jobs in California?
You can find and apply to event marketing manager jobs in California on Migrate Mate, which lists current California openings updated regularly. Find the roles that fit your experience and apply directly from each listing.
