The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with websites, Google Ads, Google Business Profile, social media advertising platforms, automotive advertising websites, lead tracking, account ownership, and third-party integrations.
The goal of this project is to make sure our digital marketing systems are properly configured, connected, functional, organized, and fully controlled by Wheelchair Vans Inc.

- Identify and resolve account ownership, access, and connection issues involving:
- Determine which advertising platforms can receive vehicle inventory through automatic inventory feeds.

- Verify that all digital accounts, business profiles, advertising accounts, and platform connections remain owned and controlled by Wheelchair Vans Inc.
- Organize account information, access information, platform details, and system documentation.
- Provide clear written instructions for our team so systems can be maintained after the project is completed.
- Provide a final report documenting:

- Experience troubleshooting website issues and working with CMS platforms such as WordPress.
- Experience with Facebook and Instagram business accounts and advertising platforms.
- Experience working with third-party advertising platforms and account integrations.
- Understanding of inventory feeds, data feeds, APIs, or other automated inventory distribution systems is strongly preferred.
- Experience with automotive advertising platforms
- Experience with lead forms, call tracking, conversion tracking, and lead notification systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot account ownership, permissions, access, and platform connection issues.

Project Expectations
This is a temporary project-based position focused on setup, cleanup, troubleshooting, and optimization.
This position is not responsible for daily vehicle inventory posting. Once the websites, advertising accounts, feeds, tracking, and platform connections are properly configured, our internal team will take over ongoing inventory uploads and postings.

Marketing Specialist Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing specialist in California?
Most California employers require a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field. Marketing specialists in California do not need a state-issued license, but earning a recognized credential such as a Google Ads certification, HubSpot Content Marketing certification, or Meta Blueprint certification strengthens applications significantly. Entry-level candidates often build experience through internships at California-based agencies, tech companies, or consumer brands before moving into full specialist roles.
How much do marketing specialists make in California?
Marketing specialists in California earn a median of about $94,700 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $48,440 for the lowest 10% to over $181,600 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing specialists in California?
Employers hiring marketing specialists in California right now include HCVT, Renesas, and RPS Solar Pumps, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. California's concentration of technology firms, entertainment studios, and large healthcare systems means consistent demand for marketing specialists with both digital and brand experience.
Which California cities have the most marketing specialist jobs?
San Diego, Los Angeles, and Irvine have the most marketing specialist openings in California. Los Angeles drives volume through its entertainment, media, and consumer brand industries, San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attract demand from technology and venture-backed companies, and San Diego generates openings through its biotech, defense, and tourism sectors.
Are there remote marketing specialist jobs in California?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 53% of marketing specialist openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work centers on strategy, content creation, and digital campaign management rather than on-site activities. Roles in content marketing, SEO, and paid digital advertising are the most likely to offer fully remote arrangements.
How can I get hired as a marketing specialist in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for marketing coordinator or marketing associate roles, which large California employers such as technology companies in the Bay Area, entertainment studios in Los Angeles, and healthcare networks like Kaiser Permanente use as entry points. Building a portfolio through freelance projects, internships, or in-house work at a California agency demonstrates practical skills when experience is limited. Earning a platform certification in Google Ads or HubSpot and highlighting any data analysis or content creation work gives candidates a measurable edge in applications.
