Most employers require a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or a related discipline. Texas universities including the University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M, and SMU produce strong marketing graduates. Building hands-on experience through internships, freelance campaigns, or in-house roles at Texas brands is what most hiring managers weigh most heavily alongside your degree.
How much do marketing specialists make in Texas?
Marketing specialists in Texas earn a median of about $72,520 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $37,640 for the lowest 10% to over $135,710 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing specialists in Texas?
