Strategic Sales Executive Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategic sales executive in Texas?
Most strategic sales executives in Texas start with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, then build tenure in B2B or enterprise sales roles. Texas has no state-issued license specific to this position, so the path runs through progressive sales experience: quota-carrying roles, key account management, and eventually leading complex deals. Industries like energy, technology, and healthcare services are the most common proving grounds for Texas candidates.
How much do strategic sales executives make in Texas?
Strategic sales executives in Texas earn a median of about $136,020 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $68,750 for the lowest 10% to over $268,450 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire strategic sales executives in Texas?
Employers hiring strategic sales executives in Texas right now include DoorDash, GRIDSIGHT, and ADP, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major technology campuses, and energy services firms makes it one of the more active states for senior sales hiring year-round.
Which Texas cities have the most strategic sales executive jobs?
Dallas, Austin, and Houston account for the largest share of strategic sales executive openings in Texas. Dallas draws demand from corporate headquarters and financial services firms, Houston from energy and industrial sales, and Austin from the state's growing enterprise technology sector, which has attracted a dense cluster of software and SaaS companies over the past decade.
Are there remote strategic sales executive jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. Strategic sales executives frequently work remotely because the role is relationship- and outcome-driven rather than tied to a physical worksite. About 63% of strategic sales executive openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how broadly employers have accepted distributed sales teams. New business development and account strategy work are the portions most commonly done fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a strategic sales executive in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a business development representative or account executive role at a Texas-based technology or energy services company, then building toward a strategic designation over time. Large Texas employers like Dell Technologies and Oracle run structured sales development programs that accept candidates without extensive backgrounds. A Salesforce certification or a demonstrable record of closing deals, even in a smaller market, carries significant weight with Texas hiring managers.
Where can I find and apply to strategic sales executive jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to strategic sales executive jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings updated regularly. Search the listings, find roles that match your background and target industry, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
