Strategic Account Manager Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategic account manager in Florida?
Most strategic account manager roles in Florida require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a closely related field, and no state-issued license applies to the role. Florida employers typically expect several years of B2B or enterprise sales experience before hiring at the strategic level. Candidates who hold a Certified Strategic Account Manager designation or complete sales methodology training such as SPIN or Challenger tend to stand out in a competitive Florida applicant pool.
How much do strategic account managers make in Florida?
Strategic account managers in Florida earn a median of about $60,660 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $35,550 for the lowest 10% to over $129,730 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire strategic account managers in Florida?
Employers hiring strategic account managers in Florida right now include ADP, Paycom, and Opifex-Synergy, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's concentration of healthcare, logistics, and enterprise technology companies means demand is spread across both established corporations and fast-growing regional firms.
Which Florida cities have the most strategic account manager jobs?
Orlando, Florida, and Miami have the most strategic account manager openings in Florida. Miami's dense concentration of multinational corporations and financial services firms drives the heaviest volume, while Tampa's growing technology and healthcare sectors and Orlando's expanding enterprise and hospitality-tech industries account for strong hiring outside the Southeast corridor.
Are there remote strategic account manager jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields, because strategic account management centers on relationship-building, virtual presentations, and CRM work that translates well to remote settings. About 75% of strategic account manager openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how widely technology companies in particular have embraced flexible arrangements. Client-facing travel requirements are the factor most likely to limit a fully remote arrangement.
How can I get hired as a strategic account manager in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting in an inside sales, sales development representative, or account executive role with a Florida-based technology, healthcare, or logistics company and building a portfolio of quota attainment and client retention results before moving into a strategic account designation. Employers like Chewy, Citrix, and regional healthcare IT vendors in Tampa and Orlando regularly hire and develop junior account professionals into senior roles. Completing a recognized sales certification such as the Certified Professional Sales Person credential gives candidates without deep experience a measurable edge.
Where can I find and apply to strategic account manager jobs in Florida?
