The Senior Manager, Account Strategy is a critical leader responsible for driving strategic customer
growth, stewarding advertiser relationships, and delivering revenue across Walmart Connect’s
highest‑value Supplier, Brand and Agency partners.
This role leads a team of Account Strategists who own end‑to‑end business planning, investment
strategy, maturity development, and product adoption for their Supplier portfolios. This includes
orchestrating teams or Pods (execution) to deliver measurable outcomes aligned to Walmart Connect
revenue and client objectives.
This leader brings together the capabilities of traditional Account Management, Campaign
Management, and Strategic Consulting into a unified strategic function—with clear accountability for
gross & net ad spend, incremental revenue, and product adoption.
Reporting to a Director, Account Strategy, this role operates at the intersection of client strategy,
revenue leadership, platform adoption, and operational rigor, ensuring strong, consistent, and scalable
advertiser support.
What you'll do...
Leadership & People Management- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Strategists responsible for driving revenue,
- maturity progression, and strategic planning for Tiered Supplier and Agency partners.
- Build a high‑performing organization through hiring, goal setting, performance management, and career growth.
- Create a culture of trust, collaboration, and operational excellence across the team.
- Provide leadership coverage on key client calls, strategic milestones, and executive escalations.
- Serve as the senior strategic owner for advertiser portfolios, ensuring alignment to Walmart
- Connect growth priorities.
- Oversee Joint Business Planning (JBP), annual planning, and ongoing strategic consultation.
- Guide the team in developing product adoption roadmaps, channel strategies, and test‑and‑learn plans.
- Build and maintain strong external client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of escalation for strategic priorities and issue resolution.
- Own gross & net revenue targets across the team’s Supplier portfolios.
- Drive incremental revenue by identifying growth opportunities across the Walmart ecosystem.
- Partner with Sales to develop integrated proposals that articulate Walmart Connect’s strategic and media value.
- Ensure consistent delivery of insights, strategies, and recommendations to strengthen customer investment.
- Partner closely with Pods to ensure flawless execution of media plans, pacing, optimizations, and reporting.
- Engage Shared Services for advanced expertise and scaling support.
- Champion standardization, operational rigor, and process alignment across Account Strategy, Pods, and cross‑functional teams.
- Facilitate the triaging, resolution, and escalation of issues across teams to remove friction for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Walmart Connect media products (Search, Display, Sponsored Products, Social, etc.).
- Ensure the team can diagnose performance trends, translate data into insights, and drive meaningful optimizations.
- Oversee excellence in campaign execution through collaboration with Pod leaders.
- Partner with Media Insights & Measurement teams to extract actionable learnings and articulate business value.
- Partner with Shared Services to develop, standardize, and scale best‑in‑class frameworks for strategic planning, forecasting, maturity progression, and product adoption (e.g., headcount modeling, vertical playbooks).
- Engage in cross‑SBU initiatives to advance the maturity and consistency of Account Strategy as a discipline.
What you'll bring...
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing, Communication, or related field.
- 7+ years experience in digital media, retail media, account strategy, account management, or
- campaign management (or a combination).
- 2+ years people management or demonstrated leadership of cross‑functional teams.
- Deep understanding of media planning, omnichannel activation, measurement, and
- retail/commerce media metrics.
- Proven success growing advertiser investment, managing strategic relationships, and
- influencing senior clients.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate data into strategy.
- Demonstrated operational excellence and process optimization experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence cross‑functionally.
- Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.

The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 - $216,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
