Account Representative Jobs in New Jersey: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account representative in New Jersey?
Most account representative roles in New Jersey require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications, though some industries accept an associate degree combined with relevant experience. New Jersey does not require a state-issued license for most account representative positions, but roles in insurance or pharmaceutical sales may require passing the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance licensing exam or completing employer-specific compliance training before working with clients.
Which companies hire account representatives in New Jersey?
Companies currently hiring account representatives in New Jersey include State Farm, St. Joseph's Health, and QXO, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. New Jersey's dense concentration of pharmaceutical headquarters along the Route 1 corridor and major financial services firms in Newark and Jersey City means consistent account representative demand across both sectors year-round.
Which New Jersey cities have the most account representative jobs?
Union, Clifton, and Emerson have the most account representative openings in New Jersey. Newark and Jersey City are driven by financial services, insurance, and technology firms based in the Greater New York metro corridor, while Parsippany draws heavy pharma and life sciences hiring given its role as a regional headquarters hub for companies operating throughout northern New Jersey.
Are there remote account representative jobs in New Jersey?
Yes, and they are more common than in many fields, since account representative work is largely phone and email-based and does not require a fixed physical location. About 56% of account representative openings tied to New Jersey are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how well the role adapts to distributed work. Inside sales and technology account management roles tend to have the highest share of fully remote arrangements.
How can I get hired as a account representative in New Jersey with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for inside sales associate or junior account coordinator roles, which large New Jersey employers use as training pipelines for full account representative positions. Pharmaceutical companies based along the Route 1 corridor and financial services firms in Newark frequently run rotational or associate programs open to recent graduates. Completing a Salesforce certification or a relevant HubSpot credential strengthens a candidacy significantly and demonstrates the CRM fluency most New Jersey hiring managers expect from candidates without a direct sales background.
Where can I find and apply to account representative jobs in New Jersey?
You can find and apply to account representative jobs in New Jersey on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to the state. Search for roles that match your experience level and target industry, then apply directly to the ones that fit. The listings are updated regularly, so checking back often gives you the best view of what is actively hiring across New Jersey.
