Sales Specialist Jobs in New Jersey: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales specialist in New Jersey?
Most sales specialist roles in New Jersey require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a closely related field. No single state-issued license covers all sales specialists, but roles in specific industries carry additional requirements: medical device and pharmaceutical sales often expect candidates to complete manufacturer certification programs, while financial product sales roles typically require FINRA Series 6 or Series 7 licenses, which are federally administered but regulated for New Jersey practice.
Which companies hire sales specialists in New Jersey?
Companies currently hiring sales specialists in New Jersey include Best Buy, Russell Cellular, and ADP, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. New Jersey's concentration of pharmaceutical headquarters in the Raritan Valley corridor and financial firms in Newark and Jersey City means demand stays active across both industries year-round.
Which New Jersey cities have the most sales specialist jobs?
Iselin, Morristown, and Jersey City have the most sales specialist openings in New Jersey. Newark and Jersey City draw financial services and technology roles tied to their proximity to New York City corporate operations, while Edison and Princeton anchor the pharmaceutical and life sciences corridor that runs through central New Jersey, giving smaller suburban areas a volume of openings that rivals the larger metros.
Are there remote sales specialist jobs in New Jersey?
Yes, and they are more common than in many fields. About 56% of sales specialist openings tied to New Jersey are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the role's reliance on phone, video, and CRM-based selling rather than fixed office presence. Inside sales, software account management, and financial products roles tend to offer the most remote flexibility, while territory-based medical device and field sales positions remain primarily on-site.
How can I get hired as a sales specialist in New Jersey with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or inside sales associate role, which large New Jersey employers across pharma, fintech, and B2B technology use as a structured pipeline for early-career talent. Companies headquartered in the Princeton-Edison corridor frequently run rotational or associate sales programs for recent graduates. Earning a FINRA Series 6 license before applying gives candidates a measurable edge for financial services roles, and completing an employer-sponsored product certification strengthens applications for medical or technology sales positions.
Where can I find and apply to sales specialist jobs in New Jersey?
You can find and apply to sales specialist jobs in New Jersey on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings by location or specialty, find roles that fit your background, and apply directly to the ones that match.
