Business Development Consultant Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business development consultant in Florida?
Most business development consultant roles in Florida require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline. Florida does not impose a state-issued license for this role, so hiring decisions center on demonstrated sales or consulting experience, strong industry knowledge, and a record of client growth. Certifications such as a Certified Business Development Expert credential can strengthen a candidacy, particularly for roles in healthcare or financial services.
Which companies hire business development consultants in Florida?
Employers hiring business development consultants in Florida right now include solitude, DESORT STAFFING, and Reach Technologies, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's mix of multinational corporate headquarters in Miami, technology hubs in Tampa and Orlando, and a large financial services sector creates consistent demand across multiple industries.
Which Florida cities have the most business development consultant jobs?
Miami, Jacksonville, and Lutz have the most business development consultant openings in Florida right now. Miami leads due to its concentration of international trade firms, financial services companies, and Latin American regional headquarters, while Tampa and Orlando benefit from fast-growing technology, healthcare, and tourism-adjacent industries that drive steady demand for business growth roles.
Are there remote business development consultant jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields, since business development work is largely relationship- and communication-driven rather than site-dependent. About 89% of business development consultant openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting employer flexibility in the role. Prospecting, account management, and strategy work tend to be the functions most readily offered with remote or hybrid arrangements.
How can I get hired as a business development consultant in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting in an inside sales, account coordinator, or sales development representative role at a Florida-based company, where you build pipeline management and client communication skills directly. Large Florida employers in healthcare and technology, such as AdventHealth's corporate division or Syniverse Technologies in Tampa, regularly hire junior business development or sales associates for structured onboarding programs. Earning a HubSpot sales certification or completing a Florida Small Business Development Center workshop strengthens applications considerably.
Where can I find and apply to business development consultant jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to business development consultant jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings across industries and metro areas. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience and specialization, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
