Business Development Consultant Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business development consultant in Georgia?
Business development consulting in Georgia has no state-issued license or registration requirement, so the path runs through education and demonstrated experience. Most employers expect at least a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. Building a record of closed deals, client accounts, or revenue growth in a Georgia industry such as technology services, logistics, or healthcare IT is what moves candidates forward. Certifications like the Certified Business Development Professional designation can reinforce credibility for competitive roles.
Which companies hire business development consultants in Georgia?
Employers hiring business development consultants in Georgia right now include Infosys, REACH Technologies, and PwC, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's dense concentration of fintech, enterprise software, and supply chain companies in the Atlanta metro creates consistent year-round demand for this role across both large corporations and growth-stage firms.
Which Georgia cities have the most business development consultant jobs?
Atlanta, Auburn, and Augusta lead Georgia in business development consultant openings. Atlanta drives the majority of demand as home to major technology, financial services, and logistics headquarters, while Alpharetta's corridor of enterprise software and cybersecurity firms generates its own substantial hiring, and Savannah's growing port-adjacent logistics and professional services sector has steadily added roles in recent years.
Are there remote business development consultant jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields. Business development consulting is largely a relationship and communication role that travels well to remote or hybrid arrangements. About 100% of business development consultant openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly Georgia employers have embraced flexible work for client-facing commercial roles. Strategic account management and inside sales-oriented positions tend to be the most consistently remote.
How can I get hired as a business development consultant in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or inside sales associate role at one of Georgia's technology or fintech companies, which typically require no prior consulting experience and build foundational pipeline skills. Large Atlanta employers in enterprise software and payments regularly hire junior commercial roles as feeders into consultant positions. A business degree, a Salesforce certification, or a documented internship with a Georgia company in a client-facing capacity gives candidates a concrete edge when competing against other applicants without direct consulting history.
Where can I find and apply to business development consultant jobs in Georgia?
