Job Summary
Supports sales and marketing functions related to analysis of revenue, service and customer data. Candidate will contribute to commercial aspects of network optimization and service product management. Works with peers to develop sales and marketing insights and tools for revenue growth and cost reduction. Collaborates with Finance to assure continuity related to financial and economic analysis.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities
- Data manipulation, reporting and file maintenance on key reporting metrics and dashboards
- Contribute to network optimization and product offering strategy. Includes data manipulation, summarization, visualization for key decision maker
- Ad hoc analysis related to business unit strategies, customer strategies, business segment strategies and terminal strategies Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
- 1 or more years of experience in Data Analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate Degree
- 1 or more years of experience in Data Analysis
Knowledge and Skills
- Technically proficient in querying data and design reporting
- Knowledge of SAS, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access), Business Intelligence tools
- Ability to analyze and synthesize large, complex data sets and provide insights to advance business objectives
- Project management skills, strong business acumen and leadership skills, with sound time management and attention-to-detail, and ability to be a self-starter and work independently
- Process improvement skills, and project management skills for a cross-functional context
- Ability to think analytically
- Ability to develop written and presentation material for broad audiences (a writing sample will be required as part of the interview process), and ability to effectively influence stakeholders without direct authority
- Ability to establish rapport and relationships with individuals at multiple levels internally and externally
