Account Manager Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account manager in Florida?
Most account manager roles in Florida require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though no state-issued license is mandated for the general role. Florida employers in industries like insurance or real estate may require sector-specific state licensure through the Florida Department of Financial Services or the Florida Real Estate Commission. Building experience in sales, customer success, or client services is the most direct path into the role.
How much do account managers make in Florida?
Account managers in Florida earn a median of about $60,660 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $35,550 for the lowest 10% to over $129,730 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire account managers in Florida?
Employers hiring account managers in Florida right now include Rent-A-Center, Allied Universal, and State Farm, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's concentration of logistics, healthcare, and technology companies means account manager roles here often involve managing complex, multi-location client relationships.
Which Florida cities have the most account manager jobs?
Orlando, Miami, and Tampa have the most account manager openings in Florida. Miami leads due to its dense concentration of financial services, international trade, and technology firms, while Tampa's growing insurance and healthcare sector drives strong demand there, and Orlando's tourism, hospitality tech, and distribution industries anchor hiring in the central region.
Are there remote account manager jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields, since account management is fundamentally a communication and relationship role that translates well to remote work. About 60% of account manager openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how widely Florida employers have adopted flexible arrangements for this function. Client onboarding and strategic review calls are the parts of the role most commonly handled fully remote.
How can I get hired as a account manager in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a business development representative or inside sales role, which major Florida employers in logistics, healthcare IT, and software use as a feeder into account management. Companies like Chewy, ADT, and Roper Technologies operate training programs and rotational tracks that bring in candidates without direct account management experience. A Salesforce certification or demonstrable experience managing a client project, even in a support role, gives candidates a meaningful edge with Florida hiring managers.
Where can I find and apply to account manager jobs in Florida?
