Market Manager Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a market manager in Florida?
The concrete path to a market manager role in Florida starts with a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related discipline, followed by experience in sales, brand coordination, or category management. Florida does not require a state-issued license for this role, but employers across Miami, Tampa, and Orlando consistently favor candidates who have worked within Florida's distribution networks, retail chains, or tourism-driven consumer markets. A certification such as a Professional Certified Marketer designation can strengthen your candidacy.
How much do market managers make in Florida?
Market managers in Florida earn a median of about $142,620 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $78,250 for the lowest 10% to over $261,310 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire market managers in Florida?
Employers hiring market managers in Florida right now include Walmart, ChenMed, and JPMorganChase, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's strong consumer goods, hospitality, and healthcare sectors mean demand for market managers runs across both corporate headquarters and regional offices concentrated in South Florida and the Tampa Bay area.
Which Florida cities have the most market manager jobs?
Miami, Tampa, and Orlando account for the largest share of market manager openings in Florida. Miami draws the most roles due to its density of consumer brands, international trade activity, and regional headquarters, while Tampa's mix of financial services and distribution operations and Orlando's hospitality and tourism industry sustain consistent hiring that also pulls in nearby suburban and corridor markets.
Are there remote market manager jobs in Florida?
Yes, though they are less common than in purely digital or analytical roles, since market managers often need to be present in territory for retailer visits, distributor meetings, and field execution. About 63% of market manager openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with remote arrangements most often available for the planning, reporting, and strategy portions of the role rather than the field-facing components.
How can I get hired as a market manager in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a sales coordinator, category analyst, or brand associate role with a Florida-based consumer goods company or distributor, then building toward market manager responsibilities from within. Large Florida employers like Publix Super Markets, BevCap Management, and regional hospitality groups regularly hire into rotational or associate marketing programs designed for recent graduates. Building familiarity with Florida's retail and distribution landscape, and earning a Professional Certified Marketer credential, gives candidates without direct experience a meaningful edge.
Where can I find and apply to market manager jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to market manager jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and target market, and apply directly to the positions that fit.
