Sales And Business Development Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales and business development in Florida?
Most sales and business development roles in Florida require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though some employers prioritize demonstrated results over formal education. Florida does not require a state-issued license for most sales roles, with the notable exception of real estate and insurance sales, which require licensure through the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Building experience in account management or inside sales and earning certifications like HubSpot or Salesforce strengthens candidacy considerably.
How much do sales and business developments make in Florida?
Sales and business developments in Florida earn a median of about $131,900 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $71,650 for the lowest 10% to over $263,160 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales and business developments in Florida?
Employers hiring sales and business developments in Florida right now include Curamed, Astronics, and Piermont Bank, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's mix of corporate headquarters, regional offices, and fast-growing tech and healthcare companies means consistent demand for sales talent across multiple industries throughout the state.
Which Florida cities have the most sales and business development jobs?
Florida, Miami, and Tampa account for the most sales and business development openings in Florida. Miami leads due to its concentration of multinational companies, financial services firms, and Latin American trade connections, while Tampa's growing tech and healthcare sectors and Orlando's tourism, hospitality, and logistics industries each support large and active sales hiring markets.
Are there remote sales and business development jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields, since sales and business development work is largely phone- and screen-based for many functions. About 20% of sales and business development openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how adaptable the role is to distributed work. Inside sales, SaaS account management, and business development representative roles tend to offer the most remote flexibility, while field sales and territory management roles almost always require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a sales and business development in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a business development representative or inside sales associate role, which Florida employers across technology, staffing, and financial services routinely fill with candidates who have no prior sales experience. Large Florida-based employers like AutoNation, World Fuel Services, and regional insurance carriers often run structured onboarding programs for new hires. Lateral moves from customer service, retail management, or marketing coordinator roles are common entry points, and earning a Salesforce administrator or HubSpot certification before applying gives candidates a measurable edge.
Where can I find and apply to sales and business development jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to sales and business development jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your experience and target industry, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
