Market Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a market manager in Georgia?
Most market manager roles in Georgia require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field, though some employers accept equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree. Georgia does not require a state-issued license for this role, so hiring decisions center on demonstrated experience in territory or account management. Starting in a sales representative, account coordinator, or brand ambassador role with a Georgia-based company is the most common path into market management.
How much do market managers make in Georgia?
Market managers in Georgia earn a median of about $160,760 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $94,390 for the lowest 10% to over $277,180 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire market managers in Georgia?
Employers hiring market managers in Georgia right now include KJ's Market, Gray Construction, and Northside Hospital, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and major regional distributors means demand for market managers is spread across both large corporate employers and established regional players.
Which Georgia cities have the most market manager jobs?
Atlanta, Augusta, and Cumming have the most market manager openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates due to its density of corporate headquarters and regional offices in retail, consumer goods, and financial services, while Savannah's port-driven logistics and Augusta's expanding healthcare and manufacturing sectors create consistent demand for market-facing management roles outside the metro.
Are there remote market manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely desk-based fields, since market managers typically need in-person time with retail partners, distributors, and field teams. About 41% of market manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the growth of hybrid arrangements for planning, reporting, and strategy work. The most remote-eligible functions tend to be analytics, campaign coordination, and internal account reviews rather than territory field work.
How can I get hired as a market manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a sales representative or brand ambassador role at a Georgia-based consumer goods, retail, or distribution company, then moving into market management after demonstrating territory results. Companies like The Coca-Cola Company and large regional distributors headquartered in Atlanta run structured associate programs that feed into market manager pipelines. A Google Analytics certification or a completed marketing internship with a Georgia retailer or agency strengthens a candidate's profile significantly when formal experience is limited.
