Business Development Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business development manager in Georgia?
Business development manager roles in Georgia do not require a state-issued license or exam, so the path centers on education and experience. Most Georgia employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a closely related field, along with a background in sales or account management. Building familiarity with CRM tools and gaining experience in Georgia's dominant sectors, such as technology, logistics, or financial services, strengthens a candidate's profile considerably.
Which companies hire business development managers in Georgia?
Employers hiring business development managers in Georgia right now include Yancey Bros, Schneider, and Fidelity Bank, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and regional offices in the Atlanta metro means large, established companies across technology, transportation, and financial services maintain ongoing hiring for this role.
Which Georgia cities have the most business development manager jobs?
Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Marietta have the most business development manager openings in Georgia. Atlanta drives the largest share of demand as the state's corporate headquarters hub, while Alpharetta's dense technology and fintech corridor generates consistent volume, and Savannah's growing port-linked logistics sector supports a steady number of openings in supply chain and trade-focused business development roles.
Are there remote business development manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 76% of business development manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the role involves digital outreach, virtual presentations, and CRM-based pipeline management. Client relationship work and on-site meetings with Georgia accounts are the parts of the job most likely to require some local presence.
How can I get hired as a business development manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting in a sales development representative or inside sales role with a Georgia-based technology or logistics company, then moving into business development once you have a record of pipeline contribution. Large Atlanta-area employers in fintech and enterprise software frequently hire into structured sales associate programs designed for recent graduates. Earning a Salesforce certification or completing a Georgia State University or Kennesaw State University business program adds a measurable credential that hiring managers in the region recognize.
