Business Development Representative Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business development representative in Georgia?
Georgia does not require a state-issued license or certification to work as a business development representative. Most employers in Atlanta and other Georgia markets look for a bachelor's degree in business, communications, or marketing, combined with demonstrated outreach experience. Completing a sales development bootcamp or earning a recognized sales certification such as Salesforce Sales Development Representative can meaningfully strengthen your application with Georgia-based technology and financial services firms.
How much do business development representatives make in Georgia?
Business development representatives in Georgia earn a median of about $75,280 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $36,490 for the lowest 10% to over $158,520 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business development representatives in Georgia?
Employers hiring business development representatives in Georgia right now include Yancey Bros, CRUNCHTIME, and State Farm, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of technology companies, global logistics firms, and financial services headquarters in the Atlanta metro creates consistent year-round demand for this role.
Which Georgia cities have the most business development representative jobs?
Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Georgia have the most business development representative openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates because it serves as the Southeast's technology and corporate hub, home to major SaaS companies and financial institutions, while Savannah's growing logistics and manufacturing sectors and Augusta's expanding healthcare and cybersecurity industries generate steady demand in those markets.
Are there remote business development representative jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 59% of business development representative openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how naturally the role adapts to phone and video-based outreach. Roles focused on outbound prospecting and SaaS pipeline development tend to be the most remote-friendly, while positions requiring on-site client visits or team training lean toward hybrid arrangements.
How can I get hired as a business development representative in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying directly to sales development representative roles at Georgia-based technology companies, many of which run structured SDR training programs for candidates without prior sales experience. Large Atlanta employers in fintech and enterprise software commonly hire recent graduates into rotational or associate SDR programs. Moving laterally from customer success, retail management, or account coordination roles is also a well-established route, and completing a Salesforce or HubSpot certification gives candidates a concrete edge in the applicant pool.
Where can I find and apply to business development representative jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to business development representative jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings across Atlanta, Savannah, Augusta, and beyond. Search the listings, find roles that fit your background and target market, and apply directly to each employer without any intermediary steps.
