Business Development Manager Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a business development manager job in Atlanta?
Focus your search on Atlanta's technology corridor along the Perimeter and in Midtown, where SaaS, fintech, and health IT companies hire business development managers most actively. Logistics and supply chain firms around Hartsfield-Jackson and the port access zone also recruit steadily. Candidates who combine a book of regional enterprise contacts with experience selling into the Southeast market stand out here. Attending Atlanta Tech Village events or TAG (Technology Association of Georgia) mixers builds the local network that opens doors faster than applications alone.
Which companies hire business development managers in Atlanta?
Companies currently hiring business development managers in Atlanta include The Home Depot, AutoZone, and Intuit, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's employer mix ranges from global logistics and payments firms headquartered in the city to fast-growing SaaS and health IT companies based in Midtown and the Perimeter Center area.
Are there remote business development manager jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, though the role is moderately remote-friendly since relationship-building and client meetings often require in-person presence. About 41% of business development manager openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with most flexibility concentrated in enterprise SaaS and fintech roles where territory management happens largely over video and phone.
How can I get a business development manager job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Atlanta is moving up from a sales development representative or account executive role at one of the city's many SaaS or fintech companies, where internal promotions to business development manager are common. Atlanta-based firms in health IT, payments technology, and logistics frequently hire entry-level business development associates as a proving ground. Building a pipeline of warm Southeast enterprise leads and earning a Salesforce or HubSpot certification accelerates that transition noticeably.
Which industries hire the most business development managers in Atlanta?
The sectors hiring the most business development managers in Atlanta are Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Manufacturing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's status as a payments and fintech hub, a major logistics gateway, and a growing health IT center drives consistent demand for business development talent across all three areas.
