Territory Sales Representative Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a territory sales representative in Georgia?
Most territory sales representative roles in Georgia do not require a state-issued license, but a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is the standard entry point preferred by Georgia employers. Candidates pursuing roles in medical devices or pharmaceutical sales benefit from completing industry-recognized training programs offered through organizations like the National Association of Medical Sales Representatives. Building experience in retail or inside sales is a common stepping stone into territory roles in Georgia.
How much do territory sales representatives make in Georgia?
Territory sales representatives in Georgia earn a median of about $63,860 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $35,830 for the lowest 10% to over $134,350 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire territory sales representatives in Georgia?
Employers hiring territory sales representatives in Georgia right now include Atlas Roofing Corporation, Leaf Home, and Impact Bio, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of distribution hubs, healthcare systems, and manufacturing operations creates consistent year-round demand for territory representatives across a wide range of industries.
Which Georgia cities have the most territory sales representative jobs?
Atlanta, Norcross, and Savannah have the most territory sales representative openings in Georgia. Atlanta generates the bulk of listings as the state's commercial and logistics hub, while Savannah's port-driven distribution economy and Augusta's healthcare and defense sectors support steady territory sales hiring in those markets.
Are there remote territory sales representative jobs in Georgia?
Yes, but they're uncommon. Territory sales representative work is fundamentally field-based, requiring regular in-person visits to clients and prospects within an assigned geographic area. About 60% of territory sales representative openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those positions typically involve inside sales support or account management functions rather than traditional field coverage.
How can I get hired as a territory sales representative in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting in an inside sales or sales development representative role with a Georgia-based distributor or technology company, then transitioning to a field territory position after demonstrating quota attainment. Large Georgia employers in food service distribution and medical supply regularly hire entry-level account coordinators and route sales trainees who move into territory roles within two years. Earning a Certified Sales Professional designation or completing a manufacturer-sponsored training program strengthens a candidate's profile considerably.
Where can I find and apply to territory sales representative jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to territory sales representative jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings across industries including healthcare, distribution, technology, and manufacturing.
