Marketing Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing manager in Georgia?
Marketing managers in Georgia are not required to hold a state-issued license or sit for a board exam. The most common path is a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business followed by several years in specialist or coordinator roles building campaign and analytics experience. Georgia's large consumer brands, financial institutions, and technology companies tend to promote from within, so starting in a digital marketing, content, or brand specialist role at an Atlanta-area employer is the most reliable route to a first management title.
How much do marketing managers make in Georgia?
Marketing managers in Georgia earn a median of about $160,760 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $94,390 for the lowest 10% to over $277,180 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing managers in Georgia?
Employers hiring marketing managers in Georgia right now include The Home Depot, Sage, and OneTrust, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and regional corporate campuses in metro Atlanta means large, established companies account for a significant share of open roles alongside fast-growing technology and healthcare firms.
Which Georgia cities have the most marketing manager jobs?
Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Georgia have the most marketing manager openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates the distribution as the state's commercial hub, home to major corporate headquarters in consumer goods, media, fintech, and logistics, while Savannah's expanding port economy and Augusta's growing healthcare and cybersecurity sectors generate consistent demand outside the metro.
Are there remote marketing manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 73% of marketing manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the role centers on digital strategy, content creation, and campaign analysis rather than on-site production. Brand management and performance marketing positions are the most frequently listed as fully remote, while roles tied to events, retail, or field marketing tend to require an in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a marketing manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a marketing coordinator or specialist role at an Atlanta-area employer and building measurable campaign results before pursuing a manager title. Georgia companies including NCR Atleos, Equifax, and Cox Enterprises run associate and rotational programs that place early-career candidates across marketing functions. Moving laterally from sales operations, content production, or digital analytics is also common. A portfolio demonstrating campaign ownership or a Google Analytics or HubSpot certification gives candidates without years of experience a concrete credential employers can evaluate.
Where can I find and apply to marketing manager jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to marketing manager jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state right now. Find roles that fit your experience and apply directly to each one.
