Sales Representative Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales representative in Georgia?
Most sales representative roles in Georgia require at minimum a high school diploma, though a bachelor's degree in business or marketing gives candidates a competitive edge with larger employers. Georgia does not issue a general sales representative license, but roles in specific verticals carry additional requirements: insurance sales representatives must hold an active license from the Georgia Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner, and pharmaceutical or medical device reps typically need demonstrated life sciences knowledge or a related degree.
Which companies hire sales representatives in Georgia?
Employers hiring sales representatives in Georgia right now include Cleft of the Rock, Power Home Remodeling, and Freeway Insurance Services America, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, major logistics hubs, and a fast-growing technology corridor in metro Atlanta means consistent demand across industries throughout the year.
Which Georgia cities have the most sales representative jobs?
Atlanta, Marietta, and Savannah have the most sales representative openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates due to its concentration of corporate headquarters, technology firms, and healthcare systems, while Savannah's port-driven logistics and manufacturing base and Augusta's growing healthcare and defense sectors support steady demand in those markets as well.
Are there remote sales representative jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than many fields, since a meaningful share of sales work is phone- and video-based. About 47% of sales representative openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how common virtual selling has become post-pandemic. Inside sales, software SaaS sales, and national account management roles are the positions most frequently listed as fully remote.
How can I get hired as a sales representative in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or inside sales associate role, which large Georgia-based employers such as NCR Voyix and Cox Enterprises regularly fill with candidates who have strong communication skills and no formal sales background. Retail or customer service experience at companies like Home Depot, headquartered in Atlanta, is widely accepted as a foundation. Completing a short CRM certification and targeting industries like technology or logistics, where Georgia has deep employer networks, improves a candidate's odds significantly.
Where can I find and apply to sales representative jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to sales representative jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings updated regularly. Find roles that match your experience and target industry, then apply directly to the employer through the listing.
