Sales Representative Jobs in Missouri: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales representative in Missouri?
Most sales representative roles in Missouri require at minimum a high school diploma, though a bachelor's degree in business or marketing is preferred by the majority of employers. For insurance or financial products sales, you must obtain a Missouri insurance producer license through the Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance, which requires completing a pre-licensing course, passing a state exam, and submitting an application. Medical device and pharmaceutical roles typically require a science or business degree plus product-specific training provided by the employer.
Which companies hire sales representatives in Missouri?
Missouri sales representative roles are posted by Andrew Meier, Cleft of the Rock, and TCC Wireless and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Missouri's deep base of insurance, healthcare, and agricultural companies means consistent year-round openings well beyond the largest national names.
Which Missouri cities have the most sales representative jobs?
St. Louis, Kansas City, and Springfield have the most sales representative openings in Missouri. St. Louis and Kansas City dominate because they host the state's largest corporate headquarters, regional distribution hubs, and healthcare systems, while Springfield supports a strong concentration of insurance carriers and manufacturing firms that maintain active regional sales forces.
Are there remote sales representative jobs in Missouri?
Yes, and they're more common than in many fields. About 48% of sales representative openings tied to Missouri are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the role's natural fit for phone and video-based selling. Inside sales, SaaS account management, and financial services roles are the sub-areas most likely to be fully remote or hybrid in Missouri.
How can I get hired as a sales representative in Missouri with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an inside sales or sales development representative role, which large Missouri-based employers like Edward Jones, Centene, and regional insurance carriers post regularly for candidates without direct sales experience. Edward Jones runs a structured financial advisor training program open to career changers, and many St. Louis and Kansas City healthcare distributors hire entry-level territory assistants who move into full representative roles within a year. Earning a Missouri insurance producer license before applying gives candidates a concrete edge even without prior sales history.
Where can I find and apply to sales representative jobs in Missouri?
You can find and apply to sales representative jobs in Missouri on Migrate Mate, which lists current Missouri openings updated regularly. Search the listings, find the roles that match your experience and preferred territory, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
