Employers in Clayton's corporate corridor and the Cortex district hire actively, as do distributors and regional carriers based in north and south St. Louis County. Candidates who can demonstrate territory management experience or familiarity with the region's major industry clusters stand out most.
Which companies hire sales representatives in St. Louis?

The employer mix here reflects St. Louis's strength in healthcare systems, national insurance carriers, and regional manufacturing and distribution companies with large field sales operations.
Are there remote sales representative jobs in St. Louis?
Yes, though sales representative roles are less remote-friendly than desk-based positions since many require in-person client meetings and territory coverage. About 54% of sales representative openings tied to St. Louis are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with inside sales and software-focused account executive roles accounting for the largest share of those flexible arrangements locally.
How can I get a sales representative job in St. Louis with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in St. Louis is landing a business development representative or inside sales coordinator role at one of the city's healthcare technology, insurance, or logistics firms, many of which run structured onboarding programs. St. Louis community college continuing education programs and local employer apprenticeships through SLATE, the city's workforce development agency, also provide a practical starting point.
