Regional Account Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a regional account manager in Georgia?
Most Georgia employers require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, combined with prior sales or account management experience. Regional account manager roles in Georgia carry no state-issued license or mandatory credential, so the path centers on building a verifiable sales record in a related role, developing familiarity with Georgia's key industries such as logistics, technology, or healthcare, and earning voluntary credentials like the Certified Professional Sales Person designation to stand out in a competitive candidate pool.
How much do regional account managers make in Georgia?
Regional account managers in Georgia earn a median of about $159,890 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $79,560 for the lowest 10% to over $292,490 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire regional account managers in Georgia?
Employers hiring regional account managers in Georgia right now include James Hardie, Norican, and Craft-Bilt Manufacturing Company, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, distribution hubs, and technology corridor companies in the Atlanta metro creates steady, year-round demand for regional account management talent.
Which Georgia cities have the most regional account manager jobs?
Atlanta, LaGrange, and Macon consistently show the highest concentration of regional account manager openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates because it serves as the corporate and logistics hub for the Southeast, housing hundreds of B2B companies that need territory sales coverage, while Savannah's port-driven commerce fuels demand in supply chain and industrial sales, and Augusta's growing healthcare and cybersecurity sectors add a steady stream of specialized account management roles.
Are there remote regional account manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than many field-sales roles, since regional account managers often work from a home base between client visits rather than reporting to a fixed office. About 63% of regional account manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how many Georgia employers structure territory roles around travel rather than in-office presence. The most fully remote openings tend to be in SaaS, enterprise software, and inside-sales hybrid models where client relationships are managed digitally.
How can I get hired as a regional account manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a sales development representative or inside sales associate role at a Georgia-based company, then transitioning into territory management after demonstrating consistent performance. Large Georgia employers in technology and distribution, including companies in the Atlanta metro's SaaS corridor, regularly promote from SDR and business development roles into junior account manager positions. Earning an entry-level sales certification and building familiarity with Salesforce or HubSpot makes candidates more competitive when applying to associate account manager openings that do not require prior quota-carrying experience.
Where can I find and apply to regional account manager jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to regional account manager jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring across the state. Search the listings, find roles that match your experience and target territory, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
