Content Creator Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a content creator in Florida?
Content creation in Florida does not require a state-issued license or certification, so the path runs through education and portfolio building. Most Florida employers expect a degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or digital media, though strong portfolios sometimes substitute. Building experience through Florida's large entertainment, tourism, and sports industries, whether through internships at local agencies or university media programs, is the most direct route into full-time roles.
Which companies hire content creators in Florida?
Companies currently hiring content creators in Florida include Chewy, The Coldest Water, and Carnival Cruise Line, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's concentration of entertainment, hospitality, and sports organizations means content creator demand is particularly consistent at large regional employers and agency groups anchored in the state.
Which Florida cities have the most content creator jobs?
Miami, Jacksonville, and Tampa lead Florida for content creator openings. Miami drives volume through its advertising, media, and Latin American marketing industries, Orlando benefits from the dense concentration of theme parks, resorts, and entertainment brands, and Tampa's growing tech and sports sectors add consistent demand for digital content talent across both corporate and agency roles.
Are there remote content creator jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 31% of content creator openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based, digital nature of most content work. Roles focused on social media management, copywriting, and SEO content tend to be the most consistently remote, while video production and on-location brand content typically require an in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a content creator in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is building a focused portfolio through university media programs, student publications, or unpaid freelance projects before targeting coordinator and associate-level openings at Florida agencies and hospitality brands. Large Florida employers like theme park operators and regional broadcast groups run marketing associate and content internship programs that regularly convert to full-time roles. Adjacent positions such as social media coordinator, marketing assistant, or junior copywriter are common stepping stones, and a Google Digital Marketing certificate can strengthen early applications.
Where can I find and apply to content creator jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to content creator jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings across industries and experience levels. Search the listings, find roles that match your background and location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
