Sales Executive Jobs in Pennsylvania: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales executive in Pennsylvania?
Most sales executive roles in Pennsylvania require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though many employers value demonstrated sales performance equally. Pennsylvania does not require a general state license to work as a sales executive, but roles in specific sectors carry additional requirements: insurance sales executives must hold an active Pennsylvania Department of Insurance producer license, and financial product roles may require FINRA Series registrations. Building a portfolio of measurable results and gaining experience in a named account or territory role is the most reliable path to advancement.
How much do sales executives make in Pennsylvania?
Sales executives in Pennsylvania earn a median of about $130,610 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $71,500 for the lowest 10% to over $239,470 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales executives in Pennsylvania?
Employers hiring sales executives in Pennsylvania right now include T-Mobile, Target, and Labcorp, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Pennsylvania's strong base of healthcare systems, financial institutions, and technology companies means consistent demand from both large enterprise employers and regional firms seeking experienced territory managers.
Which Pennsylvania cities have the most sales executive jobs?
Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Pennsylvania have the most sales executive openings in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia drives the largest share of postings given its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major health systems, and financial services firms, while Pittsburgh's resurgence in technology and healthcare creates strong demand there, and smaller markets like Allentown reflect anchor employers in manufacturing and insurance distribution.
Are there remote sales executive jobs in Pennsylvania?
Yes, and more than many fields. About 80% of sales executive openings tied to Pennsylvania are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the role centers on phone, video, and digital outreach rather than an on-site presence. Inside sales, SaaS account management, and national account roles are the positions most consistently listed as fully remote in Pennsylvania postings.
How can I get hired as a sales executive in Pennsylvania with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a business development representative or inside sales associate role at a Pennsylvania-based technology or healthcare company, where formal sales training programs are common. Employers like Comcast, Independence Blue Cross, and regional software firms regularly hire candidates without prior sales experience into structured associate programs that build pipeline and quota skills. Earning a Pennsylvania Department of Insurance producer license before applying gives candidates a concrete credential edge for insurance or financial services roles, and lateral moves from customer success or account coordinator positions frequently open the door to full sales executive titles.
Where can I find and apply to sales executive jobs in Pennsylvania?
You can find and apply to sales executive jobs in Pennsylvania on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to Pennsylvania employers and locations. Find roles that fit your experience and target sector, then apply directly to each position without any extra steps between you and the employer.
