Inside Sales Administrative Assistant

Company: Bognar & Company, Inc.
Location: 733 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15228 (on-site)
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Bognar and Company is a specialized manufacturing facility focused on processing coal and coke materials for distribution to steel mills across the country. Our operations include crushing, screening, and drying a variety of coal and coke blends to meet specific customer requirements. We are committed to operational efficiency, safety, and delivering products that meet rigorous quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Process customer orders received via email accurately and in a timely manner.

· Review customer purchase orders for specifications, payment terms, and other order requirements.

· Update internal data files to reflect price changes, product formula updates, and related customer or product information.

· Enter customer orders into the company’s customized legacy software system.

· Communicate with plant personnel by email and phone regarding order status, production needs, and shipment tracking.

· Coordinate with outside sales teams regarding customer orders, account needs, and order-related issues.

· Maintain inside sales spreadsheets and related tracking documents as needed.

· Contact customers and other business partners to support and supplement outside sales efforts as needed.

· Organize and maintain files related to customer orders, sales support, and related administrative activities.

· Once fully trained and proficient in customer service responsibilities, assist with preparing business communications, including customer bids, quotations, and purchase orders to vendors.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

· 2 or 4 year college degree in Business or Supply Chain

Skill and Trait Requirements:

· Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

· Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Forward-thinking, proactive approach with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative.

· Ability to manage shifting priorities, solve problems effectively, and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.

· Collaborative team player with a positive and professional attitude.

· Supply chain management experience preferred.
