INTRODUCTION
We’re a rapidly growing consumer goods company seeking a data-driven, strategic, and operationally minded Omnichannel CRM Specialist to own the day-to-day production, execution, and optimization of our email, SMS, and lifecycle marketing campaigns. This role oversees the full customer retention experience across our owned direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels, third-party digital marketplaces, and physical retail spaces—ensuring seamless customer journeys, consistent brand experiences, and a continuously improving customer lifetime value (LTV). You will own day-to-day campaign execution, design our cross-channel customer journeys, build and maintain our audience segmentation architecture, and stand up the retention infrastructure and loyalty platforms that allow our marketing engine to scale alongside the business. This role works closely with product, ecommerce, operations, and retail marketing leadership to ensure customer data shapes how we engage, retain, and grow.
Responsibilities
Omnichannel Journey & Lifecycle Management
- Own the full customer lifecycle experience across email, SMS, push notifications, and loyalty channels.
- Build, test, and optimize automated lifecycle flows (welcome series, post-purchase education, replenishment triggers, win-backs, and rewards).
- Create innovative strategies that drive brick-and-mortar retail shoppers into our digital ecosystem (and vice versa) utilizing QR codes, receipt scanning, and localized offers.
- Develop compliant, creative retention mechanics to capture and nurture marketplace customers (Amazon, TikTok Shop, etc.) into our owned direct channels.
Campaign Execution & Messaging Playbook
- Manage the end-to-end execution of calendar-based Email and SMS campaigns—including copy briefing, template building, audience selection, deployment, and QA.
- Hold the bar on send accuracy, brand alignment, deliverability, and conversion rates across all messaging platforms.
- Author and maintain a living "CRM Playbook" documenting our brand's tone, messaging guidelines, coupon/offer governance, and broadcast schedules.
CRM Analytics & Strategic Insight
- Build reporting and dashboards covering key retention metrics: open rates, click rates, opt-in/opt-out velocity, repeat purchase rates, cohort LTV, and revenue-per-recipient.
- Run a continuous A/B testing program (subject lines, layouts, timing, offers) and turn raw numbers into clear, actionable hypotheses.
- Run a regular customer data ritual that updates leadership, product, and marketing teams on changing customer cohorts and purchasing behaviors.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with the Creative team to brief and build high-converting assets that fit our brand visual guidelines.
- Collaborate with Digital Product and Ecommerce teams to streamline the on-site subscription, account creation, and loyalty-redemption experiences.
- Work with Retail and Sales teams to align digital retention campaigns with physical, in-store promotional calendars and product launches.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in CRM and lifecycle marketing, ideally in a consumer-packaged goods (CPG) or omnichannel retail brand.
- Proven experience standing up, structuring, or significantly optimizing an enterprise-grade retention/CRM function from scratch.
- Deep experience with e-commerce platforms ( Shopify Plus preferred) and marketing automation ecosystems ( Klaviyo, Attentive, or similar).
- Demonstrated ownership of complex audience segmentation, data mapping, and cross-channel campaign orchestration (B&M + Digital + Marketplaces).
- Strong written communicator with a track record of authoring promotional copy, behavioral workflows, and internal strategic playbooks.
- Comfort with data fluency—able to define the retention metrics that matter, manipulate datasets in Excel/Google Sheets, and construct clear analytics dashboards.
- Calm, organized, and clear-headed under pressure; brings data-backed structure to complex customer behaviors and fast-moving launch timelines.
What Success Looks Like
- Customers receive deeply personalized, timely, and cohesive retention messages regardless of where they first bought the product.
- Cross-channel migrations (e.g., converting a retail into an active direct customer) are predictable, structured, and well-tracked.
- A living CRM playbook acts as the operational source of truth for all email, SMS, and loyalty promotions.
- The customer data architecture, help tools, and loyalty features scale cleanly with volume, product launches, and retail seasonality.
- Cohort data and customer lifetime value insights reliably reach product and marketing teams to shape major business decisions.
- A high-accountability data culture is established, where every email or text sent is rooted in testing, optimization, and clear revenue impact.

Tips for Your Customer Relationship Management Job Search
Quantify your CRM impact on your resume
Hiring managers in customer relationship management want numbers, not duties. Replace vague bullets with concrete outcomes: retention rates you improved, customer segments you managed, or churn reductions your campaigns drove. Tie every bullet to a business result.
List every CRM platform you've used
Applicant tracking systems filter for platform names like Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, and Zoho. If you've used any of these, name them explicitly in your skills section, even if your experience was limited to one module or a short contract.
Target openings by your seniority and specialization
CRM roles split sharply between strategy, administration, and analytics. Filter for titles that match your actual function, such as CRM analyst, CRM administrator, or customer lifecycle manager, so you're not competing against candidates with a different skill set.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists customer relationship management openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Prepare a case study for your interview
CRM interviews often ask you to walk through a campaign or retention initiative end to end. Come ready with one example that covers the problem, the data you used, the CRM workflow you built or adjusted, and the measurable outcome you delivered.
Negotiate scope, not just title, when you get an offer
In CRM roles, the database access and cross-functional authority you're given matter as much as the title. Ask specifically which teams you'll collaborate with and whether you'll own the CRM roadmap or execute someone else's, before you accept.
Customer Relationship Management Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most customer relationship managements?
The companies hiring the most customer relationship managements right now include Bank of America, JPMorganChase, and Truist, with the largest share of openings in California, Florida, and New York, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Financial services, healthcare, and technology companies consistently account for a large portion of active CRM postings nationwide.
How many customer relationship management jobs are remote?
About 11% of customer relationship management openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting strong employer flexibility for roles that don't require in-person client contact. CRM analytics, CRM administration, and marketing automation positions tend to have the highest share of remote-eligible postings compared to customer-facing or field-based CRM roles.
How do you become a customer relationship management?
Start by earning a degree in business, marketing, or a related field, then build hands-on experience with at least one major CRM platform through internships, entry-level roles, or self-directed learning using free trial environments. Develop skills in data segmentation, customer lifecycle analysis, and campaign reporting. Pursue platform-specific certifications from Salesforce or HubSpot to signal technical credibility to hiring managers early in your career.
Can you get a customer relationship management job with little experience?
Yes, you can break into customer relationship management with limited experience by targeting coordinator or administrator titles, which typically require platform familiarity over years of strategy work. Completing a free or low-cost CRM certification, building a sample workflow or segmentation project in a trial account, and framing any customer-facing work history around data, retention, or communication will strengthen your application considerably.
What does the customer relationship management interview process look like?
Most CRM interviews include an initial recruiter screen focused on platform experience, followed by a hiring manager conversation that goes deeper on past campaigns, retention initiatives, or CRM migrations you've led. Many employers add a practical component, such as a take-home case study or a live walkthrough of how you'd structure a customer segment or automation workflow, before a final panel or offer-stage discussion.
Where can I find and apply to customer relationship management jobs?
You can find and apply to customer relationship management jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from across the United States. Find roles that match your experience level and specialization, then apply directly to each listing without any extra steps between you and the employer.
