Customer Success Consultant Jobs in Indiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer success consultant in Indiana?
Customer success consulting in Indiana requires no state-issued license or certification, so the path runs through education and experience. Most Indiana employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. Candidates who add a recognized credential such as the Certified Customer Success Manager designation strengthen their profile. From there, the typical entry point is a customer support, account coordinator, or sales development role at an Indiana-based tech, insurance, or healthcare company before moving into a dedicated consultant position.
How much do customer success consultants make in Indiana?
Customer success consultants in Indiana earn a median of about $63,960 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $37,320 for the lowest 10% to over $124,000 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire customer success consultants in Indiana?
Employers hiring customer success consultants in Indiana right now include Salesforce, Environmental Resources Management, and Nokia, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Indiana's concentration of health technology firms, insurance carriers, and enterprise software companies in the Indianapolis metro means sustained and recurring demand for this role throughout the year.
Which Indiana cities have the most customer success consultant jobs?
The cities with the most customer success consultant openings in Indiana are Indianapolis, Indiana, and Fort Wayne. Indianapolis dominates the distribution because it serves as the corporate headquarters for major insurance, fintech, and health IT employers, while Fort Wayne and Carmel draw demand from regional manufacturing technology vendors and financial services firms that maintain substantial client-facing teams in the northern and suburban Indianapolis corridors.
Are there remote customer success consultant jobs in Indiana?
Yes, and more than most fields. Customer success consulting is a desk-based, relationship-driven role that translates well to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 61% of customer success consultant openings tied to Indiana are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly Indiana employers in SaaS and health technology have embraced flexible work models. Onboarding and implementation consulting roles tend to carry the highest share of fully remote options.
How can I get hired as a customer success consultant in Indiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a customer support or inside sales role at an Indiana-based SaaS or insurance company, then transitioning into a junior customer success position after six to twelve months. Indianapolis-area employers in health technology and fintech frequently post associate customer success roles that are explicitly open to recent graduates. Building proficiency in Salesforce and completing a recognized customer success certification demonstrates readiness for the role and gives candidates without direct experience a concrete edge over other applicants.
Where can I find and apply to customer success consultant jobs in Indiana?
You can find and apply to customer success consultant jobs in Indiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current Indiana openings from employers actively hiring for the role. Search the listings, identify roles that match your background and target market, and apply directly to the ones that fit your experience level and preferred location or work arrangement.
