Customer Success Manager & Solutions Consultant
Remote (US) · Full-time
Compensation: $60,000–$80,000 base + competitive equity · $100,000–$120,000 OTE
About the Company
Our client is a Series A fintech company (founded 2017) building a decision-intelligence and compliance platform for independent wealth management and registered investment advisors — spanning portfolio risk analytics, compliance workflows, and advisor productivity. They’ve established strong product-market fit with mid-market and enterprise RIAs in a large ($100B) market, and they operate as a lean, high-accountability team where you’ll work closely with company leadership.
Founded 2017 · 11–50 people · Industry: FinTech
The Role
This is a deliberately rare hybrid seat that owns the full customer lifecycle. You’ll act as the technical subject-matter expert on sales calls — running live demos and handling objections in real time — and then own onboarding, adoption, and retention once the deal closes. Because the same person supports the deal and owns the account afterward, nothing gets lost at handoff. You’ll report to both the Head of Sales (pre-sale) and the Head of Customer Success (post-sale), and the role rewards someone with both the follow-through of a strong CSM and the composure of a sharp sales engineer.
What you’ll be doing
- Serve as the SME on demo and technical calls, running tailored product walkthroughs and fielding product, technical, and compliance objections live.
- Own new-client onboarding and training, taking firms from setup to confident daily usage within about 30 days of go-live.
- Run cadenced adoption meetings with key stakeholders to surface risk early, protect retention, and flag expansion opportunities with full technical context.
- Maintain deep product and domain mastery so advisors and internal teams treat you as the first call.
- Turn structured customer feedback into clear product requirements, with frequency, use case, and revenue impact.
- Build training content, knowledge base articles, and recorded walkthroughs that scale self-service.
Product suite & tools: A multi-product wealthtech platform (advisor, compliance, scanning, proposals, and IPS modules); HubSpot CRM; Gong.
Requirements
- At least 3 years in a customer-facing role at a wealthtech, advisor-tech, or compliance software company
- Able to lead live product demos and handle technical and compliance objections in real time — real subject-matter depth, not a script
- Strong fluency in RIA and compliance concepts, including ADV, fiduciary standards, and custodians
- A proven post-sale track record of onboarding, driving adoption, and retaining software clients
- Confident communicating with executive stakeholders, including CCOs and firm principals
- Based in the US
Nice to Haves
- A background that spans both pre-sale (solutions or sales engineering) and post-sale (CSM or onboarding) in one career
- Prior experience at a wealthtech or advisor-tech company
- Existing relationships with CCOs and other executive decision-makers at advisory firms
- Comfort building the playbook yourself in a lean, growth-stage environment
- HubSpot CRM fluency and familiarity with tools like Gong
- Familiarity with custodian ecosystems such as Schwab, Fidelity, and Pershing
Why Join
- A rare hybrid seat owning the client relationship end-to-end, from first demo through long-term retention

- A lean, high-ownership team with direct exposure to leadership and real scope from day one

Tips for Your Customer Success Consultant Job Search
Quantify retention and expansion outcomes
Your resume should show churn reduced, net revenue retention improved, or upsell revenue driven, not just responsibilities held. Hiring managers for customer success consultant roles filter fast for candidates who attach numbers to outcomes rather than describing daily tasks.
Tailor your resume to the product type
A resume that worked for a self-serve SaaS role needs reworking for a high-touch enterprise position. Emphasize executive relationship management and quarterly business reviews when targeting enterprise, and scalable digital touch programs when targeting product-led growth companies.
Target openings by customer segment listed
Job postings for customer success consultants almost always specify SMB, mid-market, or enterprise. Match your applications to the segment you have the most documented experience with, since interviewers probe deeply on how you managed that specific customer profile.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists customer success consultant openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Prepare a structured QBR walk-through
Most customer success consultant interviews include a case study or live exercise where you present a quarterly business review. Practice walking through data interpretation, health scoring, and an action plan out loud so you can deliver it confidently under interview conditions.
Negotiate on variable compensation structure
Customer success consultant offers often include a variable component tied to retention or expansion quotas. Before accepting, clarify how quota attainment is measured, what the payout timeline looks like, and whether the variable is capped, so you can compare offers accurately.
Customer Success Consultant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most customer success consultants?
The companies hiring the most customer success consultants right now include RELX, LexisNexis Legal & Professional, and Lumen, with the largest share of openings in Ohio, Georgia, and California, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Demand is highest at companies scaling enterprise and mid-market SaaS products with dedicated post-sale teams.
How many customer success consultant jobs are remote?
About 78% of customer success consultant openings are fully remote or hybrid as of August 2026, making it one of the more flexible roles in the client-facing space. Fully remote availability is most common in roles focused on digital-touch or scaled customer success programs serving SMB and mid-market segments, where in-person executive visits are less frequent.
How do you become a customer success consultant?
Start by building experience in a client-facing role such as account management, technical support, or implementation, where you learn to manage relationships and drive outcomes. Develop fluency with a CRM platform and a customer success tool. Then document specific retention or expansion results you drove, and use those examples in applications and interviews for customer success consultant positions.
Can you get a customer success consultant job with little experience?
Yes, entry-level customer success consultant roles exist, particularly at growth-stage SaaS companies managing high volumes of smaller accounts. Candidates with customer support, inside sales, or implementation experience have a strong foundation. Demonstrating product knowledge, clear communication in a mock customer call, and familiarity with tools like Salesforce or Gainsight can offset a shorter work history.
What does the customer success consultant interview process look like?
The process typically starts with a recruiter screen, followed by a hiring manager conversation focused on your account management approach and how you have handled at-risk customers. Later rounds usually include a panel interview with sales or product stakeholders and a take-home or live case study, often a mock quarterly business review or a churn save scenario presented to the team.
Where can I find and apply to customer success consultant jobs?
You can find and apply to customer success consultant jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from across the United States. Find roles that match your experience and target customer segment, then apply directly to each listing from the page.
