Mid-Market Commercial Leader
Key Responsibilities
Frontline Team Leadership:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Solution Engineers across the Commercial Mid-Market business. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and customer obsession while driving high performance across the organization.
AVP & Pod Partnership:
Serve as a strategic partner to Sales AVPs and Pod leadership by aligning technical resources to business priorities, improving execution rigor, and helping teams navigate complex customer opportunities.
Customer Engagement & Executive Presence:
Act as a customer-facing leader on strategic engagements, workshops, executive meetings, and key presentations. Help teams connect Salesforce innovation to measurable business outcomes through compelling storytelling and solution visioning.
Deal Strategy & Execution:
Support teams on complex opportunities by helping shape account strategy, technical positioning, competitive differentiation, and customer engagement plans. Drive consistency and execution excellence across the business.
Operational Excellence:
Drive operational rigor across the team through inspection, forecasting discipline, resource alignment, and scalable execution frameworks. Leverage data and AI-driven insights to identify risks, coaching opportunities, and execution gaps.
AI-Powered Solution Engineering:
Encourage adoption of AI-enabled workflows and modern Solution Engineering practices that improve productivity, speed, quality, and customer engagement across discovery, demos, presentations, and account planning.
Talent Development & Coaching:
Develop future leaders and top technical talent through active coaching, career development, feedback, and mentorship. Build an inclusive and high-performing team culture focused on continuous learning and growth.
Value-Led Solutioning:
Drive a solutions approach focused on customer value realization, scalable platform strategy, and rapid business alignment. Help teams leverage demonstrations, prototypes, and AI-enabled workflows to accelerate customer confidence and decision-making.
What We’re Looking For
Frontline Leadership:
Experience leading and developing high-performing customer-facing technical teams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Executive Presence & Communication:
Strong presentation, storytelling, and communication skills. Ability to influence customer conversations, support executive engagements, and coach teams on delivering compelling business and technical narratives.
Commercial Business Acumen:
Strong understanding of pipeline management, customer engagement strategies, forecasting discipline, and scalable execution within a commercial business.
Strategic & Operational Balance:
Understands enterprise-level strategic selling and customer engagement best practices while recognizing the speed, pragmatism, and operational scale required to succeed in a commercial environment.
AI & Platform Curiosity:
Passion for AI, automation, platform transformation, and modern customer engagement strategies. Excited about helping teams and customers navigate the shift toward Agentforce and AI-powered workflows.
Builder Mentality:
Comfortable building new motions, simplifying complexity, driving consistency, and operationalizing best practices across teams and pods.

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions.
The typical base salary range for this position is $171,710 - $229,670 annually.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations. In California and New York, and select cities in the metropolitan areas of Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC, the base pay range for this role in those locations is $188,860 - $252,630 per year. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
