Data Analyst Jobs in Orlando: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a data analyst job in Orlando?
Focus your search on Orlando's largest hiring sectors: hospitality technology, healthcare systems centered in Lake Nona, and the defense and simulation contractors clustered near the University of Central Florida Research Park. Employers here respond well to candidates who can show experience with SQL, Tableau, or Power BI alongside domain knowledge in tourism analytics or patient data. Networking through local tech meetups in the Milk District and downtown co-working communities also opens doors that online applications alone don't.
Which companies hire data analysts in Orlando?
Employers hiring data analysts in Orlando right now include Tms, AssistRx, and Versant, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Orlando's mix of theme park operators, regional health systems, and defense simulation firms means demand comes from unusually diverse employer types compared to most mid-sized cities.
Are there remote data analyst jobs in Orlando?
Yes, data analyst work is well-suited to remote and hybrid arrangements given its desk-based, tool-driven nature. About 25% of data analyst openings tied to Orlando are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting strong flexibility across the market. Roles in financial services and SaaS companies based in Orlando tend to offer the most consistent remote options, while positions tied to theme parks or hospital systems typically require on-site presence at least part of the week.
How can I get a data analyst job in Orlando with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Orlando is targeting coordinator or reporting analyst roles inside hospitality operations, since Disney, Universal, and their vendor networks hire volume-level entry analysts with strong Excel and basic SQL skills. UCF's business analytics programs also feed directly into internship pipelines at regional health systems and fintech firms in the Maitland and Lake Mary corridors. Building a portfolio with publicly available tourism or event datasets local to Orlando gives you a concrete talking point that generic projects don't.
Which industries hire the most data analysts in Orlando?
Orlando data analyst roles concentrate in Technology & Software and Manufacturing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Orlando's position as a global tourism hub, combined with its growing medical city in Lake Nona and a dense cluster of defense simulation contractors near UCF, creates demand for data analysts across sectors that few other cities of its size can match.
