Position Summary...
As the Senior Director, Data Analytics - Workforce Planning, you will support Walmart's Global People organization as a trusted advisor to People Partners and Centers of Excellence. You will help leaders identify workforce and business challenges, frame critical decisions, and leverage workforce intelligence to inform strategy and action. Working at the intersection of people, data, and technology, you and your team will translate complex insights into practical recommendations, enabling leaders to make better, faster, and more informed decisions. You will partner across functions to ensure workforce intelligence is embedded into key business processes and delivers measurable business impact.About the Team
The Workforce Intelligence & Insights team is Walmart's enterprise People Analytics organization, supporting workforce decisions for more than 2.1 million associates worldwide.
Our team helps answer critical questions across hiring, development, workforce planning, retention, total rewards, and organizational effectiveness. By combining advanced analytics, AI, labor market intelligence, and deep business partnerships, we help leaders better understand their workforce and navigate complex decisions with confidence, keeping associates at the center of every decision. We work side by side with partners across the business to turn data into action, delivering insights that help shape the future of work at Walmart.
What you'll do...
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior People leaders and Centers of Excellence across Walmart's People function.
- Own enterprise adoption and value realization for Workforce Intelligence & Insights solutions, ensuring workforce intelligence informs key decisions and delivers measurable business outcomes.
- Build stakeholder understanding, confidence, and adoption of workforce intelligence and AI-enabled decision support.
- Serve as the primary interface between business stakeholders and Workforce Intelligence & Insights teams, ensuring priorities are aligned and solutions are delivered effectively.
- Establish success measures tied to business outcomes, adoption, decision quality, and organizational impact.
- Partner with stakeholders and solution teams to embed workforce intelligence into key workforce decisions and workflows.
What you’ll bring:
- 10+ years of experience in People Analytics, Human Resources, management consulting, organizational effectiveness, change management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience leading teams responsible for consulting, adoption, enablement, transformation, or business advisory outcomes.
- Experience working in large, complex organizations, preferably within Fortune 100 companies in retail, supply chain, or technology industries.
- Demonstrated success driving adoption of analytics, AI, or digital transformation initiatives with measurable business impact.
- Proven ability to advise, question, and influence executive stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
- Working knowledge of generative AI technologies, including large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agents, prompt engineering, and evaluation methodologies.
- Experience with workforce analytics and visualization platforms such as Visier, Workday, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Advanced degree in business, analytics, behavioral science, economics, organizational psychology, or a related field preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
