Data Operations Analyst Jobs in Delaware: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a data operations analyst in Delaware?
Most data operations analyst roles in Delaware require a bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, data analytics, or a related field. There is no state-issued license for this role in Delaware. Employers in Wilmington's financial sector and healthcare systems like ChristianaCare typically expect candidates to demonstrate SQL proficiency and familiarity with data governance practices, often validated through industry certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional or vendor credentials from Microsoft or Tableau.
Which companies hire data operations analysts in Delaware?
Employers hiring data operations analysts in Delaware right now include JPMorganChase, Qnity, and M&T Bank, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Delaware's concentration of financial services headquarters, corporate back-office operations, and large healthcare systems makes it a reliable market for this role year-round.
Which Delaware cities have the most data operations analyst jobs?
Wilmington, Newark, and Dover account for the most data operations analyst openings in Delaware. Wilmington drives the largest share of listings due to its dense concentration of financial services and corporate headquarters, while Newark benefits from proximity to the University of Delaware and technology-focused employers, and Dover attracts openings tied to state government operations and healthcare administration.
Are there remote data operations analyst jobs in Delaware?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 41% of data operations analyst openings tied to Delaware are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based, analytical nature of the work. Tasks centered on data pipeline monitoring, reporting, and quality assurance are especially well-suited to remote arrangements, and many Delaware financial services and corporate employers have formalized hybrid schedules for these positions.
How can I get hired as a data operations analyst in Delaware with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for data analyst associate or operations support analyst roles at Delaware's large financial and healthcare employers, where structured rotational or new-graduate programs exist. ChristianaCare and major Wilmington-based financial institutions periodically post entry-level data roles that accept candidates from adjacent positions such as data entry specialist, reporting analyst, or business analyst intern.
