Process Analyst Jobs in Delaware: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a process analyst in Delaware?
Most process analyst roles in Delaware start with a bachelor's degree in business, industrial engineering, operations management, or a related field. Delaware does not require a state-issued license for this role, but employers across Wilmington's financial sector and the pharmaceutical corridor strongly favor candidates who hold a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or an IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional credential. Building experience with process documentation and workflow tools through internships or adjacent roles in operations or quality assurance is the most reliable path into the field.
How much do process analysts make in Delaware?
Process analysts in Delaware earn a median of about $99,480 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $59,540 for the lowest 10% to over $165,050 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire process analysts in Delaware?
Employers hiring process analysts in Delaware right now include Coherent, Qnity, and Croda, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Delaware's concentration of financial services headquarters and pharmaceutical manufacturers in the Wilmington and Newark corridor means ongoing demand for analysts who understand both operational efficiency and regulated-industry compliance.
Which Delaware cities have the most process analyst jobs?
Newark, Wilmington, and New Castle account for the largest share of process analyst openings in Delaware. Wilmington leads because it is home to major financial services and banking operations, while Dover draws openings tied to state government agencies and healthcare administration, and Newark benefits from its proximity to large corporate campuses and the University of Delaware's research partnerships with regional employers.
Are there remote process analyst jobs in Delaware?
Yes, and more than most fields. Process analysis is primarily desk-based and document-driven work, making it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 25% of process analyst openings tied to Delaware are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the strong preference among Wilmington's financial services employers for flexible work models. Roles focused on data analysis, documentation, and stakeholder reporting are the most consistently offered as remote positions.
How can I get hired as a process analyst in Delaware with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a process analyst role from an adjacent position such as operations coordinator, business analyst associate, or quality assurance specialist at one of Delaware's large financial services firms or healthcare systems. Christiana Care Health System and state government agencies periodically post analyst associate roles open to recent graduates. Earning a Lean Six Sigma White or Yellow Belt certification and building a portfolio of documented process improvement projects, even from academic or volunteer work, gives candidates a measurable edge over other entry-level applicants in Delaware's competitive corporate market.
