Process Analyst Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a process analyst in New York?
Most process analyst roles in New York require a bachelor's degree in business, industrial engineering, operations management, or a related field. New York does not issue a state license specific to this role, but employers in regulated sectors such as financial services or healthcare often expect a Lean Six Sigma certification from an accredited body. Building experience with process documentation and data analysis tools while targeting roles at large New York institutions is the most direct path.
How much do process analysts make in New York?
Process analysts in New York earn a median of about $112,250 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $64,900 for the lowest 10% to over $209,440 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire process analysts in New York?
Employers hiring process analysts in New York right now include Capgemini, Genpact, and Grant Thornton, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's dense concentration of financial institutions, hospital systems, and technology firms makes it one of the more consistent markets in the country for this role year-round.
Which New York cities have the most process analyst jobs?
The cities with the most process analyst openings in New York are New York, Atlanta, and Rochester. New York City dominates the distribution because of its concentration of major financial firms, insurers, and large hospital networks, while Albany and Buffalo contribute openings tied to state government agencies, regional banks, and healthcare organizations anchored in those metros.
Are there remote process analyst jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. Process analyst work is largely desk-based and documentation-driven, making it well suited to remote arrangements. About 25% of process analyst openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026. Roles focused on workflow analysis, business requirements gathering, and reporting tend to be the most remote-friendly within the function.
How can I get hired as a process analyst in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for operations associate or business analyst associate roles at large New York employers such as major banks, hospital systems, or state agencies, which regularly bring on candidates with a relevant degree but limited direct experience. Earning a Lean Six Sigma White or Yellow Belt credential strengthens your application significantly. Lateral moves from adjacent roles like administrative coordinator, data entry analyst, or operations support are common starting points at New York financial and healthcare institutions.
Where can I find and apply to process analyst jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to process analyst jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Find the roles that fit your experience and location and apply directly to the employers posting them.
