Field Manager Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field manager in New York?
Most field manager roles in New York are reached through a combination of a relevant bachelor's degree and hands-on field experience rather than a single state license. In construction, New York requires site safety training aligned with the New York City Department of Buildings standards, and an OSHA 30-Hour card is widely expected. Candidates typically move up from roles like foreman, project coordinator, or field technician before stepping into a manager title.
Which companies hire field managers in New York?
Employers hiring field managers in New York right now include Freedom Care, LaBella Associates, and Oxford Life Insurance, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's density of construction projects, utility infrastructure upgrades, and large commercial property portfolios means hiring is consistent year-round across the state.
Which New York cities have the most field manager jobs?
New York, Holbrook, and Rochester have the most field manager openings in New York. New York City dominates because of its volume of active construction, utility, and facilities contracts, while Buffalo and Albany generate steady openings through regional infrastructure investment and the large public and private employers anchored in each metro.
Are there remote field manager jobs in New York?
Yes, but they're rare. Field management is inherently on-site work, so most roles require regular presence at job sites, facilities, or project locations. About 19% of field manager openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, and those tend to be in planning, reporting, or multi-site oversight roles rather than direct crew supervision.
How can I get hired as a field manager in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting in a field technician, crew member, or project coordinator role with a construction firm, utility company, or property management company in New York and moving into supervision from within. Large New York employers like Con Edison and Turner Construction run structured apprenticeship and associate programs that develop candidates for field leadership. Earning an OSHA 30-Hour card before applying gives candidates a meaningful edge in competitive screening.
Where can I find and apply to field manager jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to field manager jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring across the state right now. Find roles that fit your experience and location and apply directly to each one.
