About the Position
We are an established architectural woodwork and custom millwork company based in Coconut Creek, Florida, seeking an experienced Architectural Millwork Project Manager to manage projects from fabrication through delivery, field installation, punch list, and final completion.
This is not a desk-only project management position.
We are looking for someone who understands architectural millwork and construction, is comfortable working on active jobsites, can read drawings and identify field issues, and knows how to coordinate between the shop, installers, General Contractors, architects, and customers.
The right candidate will take ownership of assigned projects, stay ahead of problems, communicate clearly, and follow each project through successful completion.
Responsibilities
- Manage architectural millwork projects from fabrication through final installation and completion
- Coordinate between our shop, installation crews, General Contractors, architects, inspectors, and customers
- Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, specifications, schedules, and installation requirements
- Monitor fabrication progress and coordinate project priorities with the production team
- Coordinate deliveries, installation schedules, site access, and construction sequencing
- Regularly visit active jobsites throughout South Florida
- Monitor installation progress, workmanship, field conditions, and project schedules
- Identify and resolve field issues involving dimensions, drawings, materials, site conditions, sequencing, and installation
- Verify field dimensions and conditions when necessary
- Manage RFIs, submittals, approvals, revisions, change orders, and related project documentation
- Communicate field changes and project requirements back to the shop
- Identify potential delays or problems early and work with the appropriate parties to resolve them
- Ensure millwork is installed according to drawings, specifications, and company quality standards
- Coordinate punch-list items, inspections, corrections, and final completion
- Help maintain project scope, schedule, and budget
- Maintain professional communication with clients, contractors, architects, installers, and vendors
- Take ownership of assigned projects through final completion
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in architectural millwork, custom cabinetry, construction, or a closely related field
- Project management, field project management, superintendent, or similar construction experience
- Strong understanding of architectural millwork, fabrication, and field installation
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, elevations, details, and specifications
- Experience working directly with General Contractors and construction teams
- Understanding of construction sequencing and jobsite coordination
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Comfortable working in active construction environments
- Ability to travel regularly to jobsites throughout South Florida
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
- High-end architectural millwork
- Custom cabinetry
- Commercial construction
- Luxury residential construction
- Hospitality, restaurant, retail, or high-end interior projects
- Large-scale millwork installations
- RFIs, submittals, change orders, and punch-list management
- Construction scheduling or project management software
- AutoCAD or similar drawing software

Compensation & Benefits
- $85,000–$125,000 per year, depending on experience
