ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will serve as a critical partner in ensuring operational excellence by maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex manufacturing and facility equipment. You will leverage your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems to minimize downtime and enhance the reliability of high-speed production lines.
Responsibilities
- Execute preventative maintenance and rapid repairs on electrical circuits and mechanical assemblies to ensure continuous production flow.
- Diagnose and resolve malfunctions in PLC-controlled packaging and printing machinery using advanced diagnostic tools and software.
- Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to install, calibrate, and maintain high-voltage and low-voltage systems.
- Fabricate custom components and perform structural welding to support equipment modifications and facility upgrades.
- Monitor system performance and advise leadership on equipment health to prevent hazardous conditions and operational failures.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and food quality standards, ensuring all work complies with regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems (including 480V 3-phase).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics and blueprints.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive mechanical and electrical aptitude assessment.
- Physical capability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PLC programming and ladder logic, specifically Allen-Bradley systems.
- Advanced machining skills including milling, lathing, and precision grinding.
- Certification or specialized training in HVAC or industrial electronics.
- Demonstrated experience with VFDs, servo motors, and high-speed conveyor systems.
