Maintenance Technician
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations through preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, electrical systems, PLC-controlled machinery, and facility support systems to maximize equipment uptime, reliability, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, experience working with 480V industrial electrical systems, and the ability to diagnose and repair automated manufacturing equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated production equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve issues involving PLC-controlled machinery, sensors, motor controls, and industrial automation systems.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on 480V three-phase electrical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Perform equipment inspections and identify potential failures before they impact production.
- Conduct shutdown maintenance activities and support planned outage projects.
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, drives, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and other industrial equipment.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to document maintenance activities, repairs, and work orders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, safety, quality, and productivity.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce recurring equipment failures.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs as required.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards.
- Work collaboratively with production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve operational performance.
- Participate in 5S and other continuous improvement programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Industrial Maintenance Certification, Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related technical field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or completion of an accredited Industrial Maintenance program.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining PLC-controlled equipment required.
- Experience working with 480V three-phase electrical systems required.
- Experience performing preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment required.
- Experience with industrial automation, motor controls, VFDs, and sensors preferred.
