The successful candidate will be responsible for equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, facility upkeep, and supporting production operations. Forklift operation is required as part of the role, but the primary focus is maintaining and improving the reliability of our equipment and facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on pallet manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and production machinery.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and help minimize production downtime.
- Inspect machinery and equipment for wear, damage, or safety concerns.
- Replace worn or damaged parts and perform routine repairs.
- Complete equipment inspections and maintenance logs.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Assist with facility maintenance, including yard organization, housekeeping, and general repairs.
- Support production operations and learn multiple workstations throughout the facility.
- Participate in safety meetings, continuous improvement initiatives, and training programs.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment is a must.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose equipment issues.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic repair techniques.
- Welding, fabrication, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, or industrial maintenance experience is required.
- Forklift experience required.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities.
- Ability to perform physical work, including walking, standing, bending, climbing, lifting, and working around industrial equipment.
