Supply Chain Specialist Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a supply chain specialist in Florida?
Most supply chain specialist roles in Florida require a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or industrial engineering, and no state-issued license is required for the role itself. Earning an APICS certification such as the CPIM or CSCP is widely recognized by Florida employers and meaningfully strengthens a candidacy. Candidates targeting defense or aerospace employers near Orlando or the Space Coast may also benefit from familiarity with government contracting and procurement compliance.
How much do supply chain specialists make in Florida?
Supply chain specialists in Florida earn a median of about $76,410 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $45,370 for the lowest 10% to over $122,930 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire supply chain specialists in Florida?
Employers hiring supply chain specialists in Florida right now include Northrop Grumman, Memorial Healthcare System, and L3Harris, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's concentration of large distribution centers, defense contractors, and major retail headquarters means demand is broad and consistent across industries.
Which Florida cities have the most supply chain specialist jobs?
Melbourne, Miami, and Tampa have the most supply chain specialist openings in Florida. Miami's role as a major port and international trade hub drives demand there, while Tampa's manufacturing and distribution base and Jacksonville's logistics infrastructure, including one of the Southeast's largest port complexes, generate consistent openings outside the Miami metro.
Are there remote supply chain specialist jobs in Florida?
Yes, but they represent a smaller share of openings because much of the work involves on-site coordination with warehouses, suppliers, and distribution centers. About 20% of supply chain specialist openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with remote opportunities most common in procurement analysis, demand planning, and vendor management roles that are primarily data-driven.
How can I get hired as a supply chain specialist in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for supply chain coordinator, purchasing assistant, or logistics analyst roles at Florida's large employers, including Publix, Amazon fulfillment centers, or defense contractors near Orlando and Melbourne. Completing an APICS Basics of Supply Chain Management certificate and gaining exposure to ERP systems through coursework or community college programs at institutions such as Valencia College or the University of South Florida gives candidates a concrete edge over applicants without credentials.
Where can I find and apply to supply chain specialist jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to supply chain specialist jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings across industries and metros. Find roles that fit your experience and location and apply directly from each listing.
