ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Laminar is entering a period of rapid, high-stakes growth and we need someone who can build the engine that fuels it. We’re hiring a Talent Engine Lead (i.e. Technical Recruiter) who thrives in fast-moving environments and is energized by the challenge of scaling teams quickly—without compromising quality, culture, or experience. This is not a plug-and-play recruiting role. You’ll own the full talent lifecycle and play a critical role in shaping the team, the culture, and how Laminar grows.
You’ll run high-volume, high-impact recruiting across technical and business roles, while also building the systems behind onboarding, performance, and retention so every new hire hits the ground running and contributes at a high level. This role reports to the Head of Operations and partners closely with leadership, including the Co-Founders. It’s ideal for someone who wants to move fast, take ownership, and build a world-class team from the ground up.
What You Will Own
Supply Chain & Purchasing:
- Own procurement processes: sourcing, ordering, and replenishment of materials and products
- Build and maintain relationships with domestic and international vendors
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms where appropriate
- Track purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery
- Work closely with technical teams to identify vendors for upcoming projects
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records across systems and physical stock in our Katana MRP system
- Monitor stock levels and forecast demand to prevent shortages or overstock
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies
- Improve inventory tracking systems and processes over time
- Work closely with the Deployments team to anticipate customer needs
Vendor & Operations Coordination:
- Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers and logistics partners
- Coordinate production timelines and resolve supply chain issues proactively
- Identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, and efficiency
Fulfillment, Packing & Shipping:
- Assist with (and often directly handle) packing and order fulfillment
- Prepare shipments for both domestic and international delivery
- Manage shipping documentation, customs forms, and compliance requirements
- Work with carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
ABOUT YOU
- 2–5 years of experience in supply chain, operations, logistics, or a related role
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in both strategic and highly hands-on environments
- Experience with inventory management systems or spreadsheets (e.g., Katana, Excel, etc.)
- Familiarity with international shipping and customs processes is a plus
- Strong communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams
- Ownership mindset—you take responsibility and follow through
- Resourcefulness—you solve problems without waiting for perfect instructions
- Willingness to be hands-on, including packing and shipping when needed
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment, flexible to changing priorities

Our Interview Process
- Phone screen with Laminar Head of Ops or Recruiter (15-20 minutes)
- Intro call with Hiring Manager (30 minutes)
- On-site interview, including short tour of GTL, overview of tech, and interview/presentation with the Hiring Manager and a few team members. Depending on the role, a skills exercise that should take no longer than an hour to prep, would be sent ahead of time. We record your skills exercise to share with any team members who could not join the interview and/or with Founder's ahead of their Founder's Interview. If you are not local, we can conduct this virtually.
- Finalists for Full-Time positions will have a Founder’s Interview in-person
Final steps:
Two professional references are requested, ideally one from your current organization and one who served as your Manager. If an Offer Letter is extended, a Background check is conducted.
